ObjectiveTo investigate the attitudes of venous blood collection and the willingness of use ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection of pediatric patients' parents;to investigate the status of venous blood collection and the willingness of use ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection of pediatric nurses;to compare the effects of ultrasound-guided and blind puncture in pediatric patients with difficulty in peripheral venous blood collection,to explore the operation process of ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection in children.Methods1.From June 2017 to September 2017,132 pediatric patients' parents were selected by the convenience sampling method from the Paediatric Ward of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University.A questionnaire was used to measure the attitudes of venous blood collection and the willingness of use ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection of pediatric patients' parents.2.From June 2017 to August 2017,132 pediatric nurses were selected from the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University by the convenience sampling method.A questionnaire was used to measure the status of venous blood collection and the willingness of use ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection of pediatric nurses.3.From January 2017 to September 2019,106 1?3years old children were selected from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Internal Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University.According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into two groups: ultrasound-guided peripheral vein blood collection group(control group)and blind puncture peripheral vein blood collection group(experimental group). Each group had 53 cases. The general data of the two groups, the success rate of first puncture, the total success rate, the needle redirections, the number of puncture and the operating time were recorded.SPSS21.0 statistics softwarewas used for statistical analysis. The mean ± standard deviation,Chi-square test,t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to compare the differences between enumeration data and measurement data.Results1.The pediatric patients' parents were worried that the venous blood collection could not be successful at first puncture. When the venous blood collection failed at first puncture, the parents mainly expressed anxiety and wanted to be replaced by senior nurses for children venous blood collection, and they attributed the failure of venous blood collection to nurse. When the children failed many times of venous blood collection, the pediatric patients' parents mainly expressed anxiety, and the number of angry parents increased, wanted to give up the venous blood collection, and they attributed the failure of venous blood collection to nurse. The pediatric patients' parents had a strong willingness to use ultrasound to guide the peripheral venous blood collection of the children.2.Pediatric nurses collected venous blood frequently;they were worried about the success of venous blood collection.Pediatric nurses were nervous after the failure of venous blood collection;when the venous blood collection failed at first puncture, most pediatric nurses continue to collect venous blood;most pediatric nurses changed after two failures.Pediatric nurses attributed the failure of venous blood collection to the vascular cause of children.Pediatric nurses had a strong willingness to use ultrasound to guide the peripheral venous blood collection of the children.3.The success rate of first puncture of ultrasound-guided peripheral vein blood collection group was 96.23%,significantly higher than that of blind venipuncture 60.38%(P<0.05).4.The total success rate of ultrasound-guided peripheral vein blood collection group was 100%,significantly higher than that of blind peripheral venous blood collection92.45%(P<0.05).5.The needle redirections in ultrasound-guided peripheral vein blood collection group was less than that of blind venous blood collection [1(1?2)vs.3(3?4.5)](P<0.05).6.The number of puncture needles of ultrasound-guided peripheral vein blood collection group was less than that of blind puncture [1(1?1)vs.1(1?2)](P<0.05).7 The operation time of ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection was longer than that of blind peripheral blood collection [134(126?154)vs.88(95?296)],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion1.The pediatric patients' parents showed negative emotions such as dissatisfaction, anxiety and anger when peripheral venous blood collection failed;the pediatric patients' parents had a strong willingness of use ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection.2.Pediatric nurses generally had varying degrees of tension after the failure of venous blood collection;pediatric nurses had willingness of use ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood collection.3.Compared with blind peripheral venous blood sampling,ultrasound-guided peripheral venous blood sampling in pediatric patients can improve the first successful rate and total successful rate of blood sampling, reduce the needle redirections and puncture needles, and the operation time was longer than that of blind venous sampling.
