Objective: With the development of economy and society and the improvement of people's living standards, more and more patients are looking to improve esthetics as the main demand for orthodontics. Therefore, currently, esthetics play an important role in the goals of orthodontic treatment. The purpose of this study is to explore the differences in esthetic evaluation of profile among different populations.Which aesthetic evaluation method is more clinically applicable. Finally, the sensitivity index that affects the appearance and aesthetic evaluation is obtained. In order to provide a reference for pre-clinical assessment and design of treatment plans. Methods: Ninety female patients with Class ? skeleton were selected.which soft tissue profile conformed to the true vertical line and/ or esthetic line.Photographs of the patient's profile were made into two sets of silhouettes with forehead and without forehead and randomly numbered.Scores were scored by orthodontists, medical students, and non-professionals using Visual Analogue Scale.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS23.0 software.Using One-way ANOVA to analysis the differences in esthetics of profiles evaluation in different populations and analysis the differences in scores between different esthetic groups.Using paired sample t-test analysis the difference of scores of with forehead and without forehead group silhouettes.Winceph 9.0 software was used to measure and analyze the lateral radiographs of the 90 included researchers.Multivariate regression analysis was used to screen out the sensitive indexes that affect the appearance score of soft tissues and to establish regression equations. Results: The score is not related to the gender of the participants. There is no significant correlation between whether the clinical crown center of the upper central incisor in the esthetic zone and score(P>0.05).The with forehead group scored lower than the without forehead group(P<0.05).The orthodontist group scored the highest, followed by medical students, and the lowest score for lay people(P<0.05).Groups that meet both the E-line standard and the true vertical line group have the highest scores, followed by the true vertical line standard group, and only the E-linegroup have the lowest scores(P<0.05).Establish a regression equation for the orthodontist group score: Y1=49.307+1.798(LLA-E Line)+0.966(Pogs-TVL)-0.757(Bs-TVL).Establish a regression equation for the medical student group score:Y2=160.379+3.781(LLA-E Line)+2.323(ULA-TVL)-4.483(LLA-TVL)+2.605(Pogs-TVL)-0.724(G-Prn-Pogs).Establish a regression equation for non-professional group scores: Y3=29.525+1.462((Ns-Pogs)-(Ns-Ls)).Conclusion: Clinically, various aesthetic evaluation methods should be integrated to evaluate the patient's beautiful appearance. Not all aesthetically person upper incisor clinical crown centers are located in the esthetic zone.Non-professionals have high aesthetic requirements, and they are more inclined to class II soft tissue facial style.Orthodontists pay more attention to the aesthetics of the chin.Medical students pay attention to the degree of straightness of the nose in addition to the chin.Non-professionals pay more attention to the overall facial coordination.
