Objective:To explore the correlation between NRP1 expression level and epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).To investigate whether there exists differences on NRP1 expression between normal ovarian tissues and EOC tissues and whether the NRP1 expression level is correlated with EOC stage and prognosis. Methods:Analysis A total of 107 cases of ovarian resection(86 cases of EOC tissue,21 cases of normal ovarian tissue)was collected from January 2016 to July 2017 in Shengjing hospital affiliated to China Medical University. All of the relative pathological results and clinical stages have been collected. To analyse NRP1 expression between normal ovarian tissue and EOC tissue from the cell, protein and m RNA level by using immunohistochemistry, western blot and RT-q PCR technologies. To analyze the NRP1 expression of EOC in different clinical stages and the correlation between NRP1 expression level and the prognosis of EOC.Result:NRP1 expression in EOC tissues increased significantly compared with normal ovarian tissues, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of immunohistochemical staining showed that elevated NRP1 expression in EOC is related to the patient's prognosis, relapse and death, pathological stage, and lymph node metastasis, but not to whether the patient has ascites. Conclusion:The expression of NRP1 in EOC tissue is higher than that in normal ovarian tissue. As the clinical stage of epithelial ovarian cancer progresses, the expression level of NRP1 also continues to increase, and as the expression of NRP1 increases, the prognosis of patients is often worse.
