Objective: To investigate the correlation between abdominal aortic aneurysm diameter and testosterone level. Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed 200 male subjects in the first affiliated hospital of China medical university from January 2015 to July 2018 who met the inclusion criteria, including 100 male patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm diagnosed by CT angiography and 100 male patients admitted during the same period who were excluded from abdominal aortic aneurysm by imaging examination.Exclusion criteria :(1)drugs that affect testosterone levels, such as testosterone or antitestosterone therapy.(2)hypothalamic and pituitary diseases, prostate cancer, malignant tumors and other diseases affecting testosterone levels.(3)traumatic,plum toxicity, pseudoaneurysm, etc.Statistical methods were used to analyze the general conditions(age, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease)and blood biochemical indicators(total testosterone, free testosterone)of the observed subjects to study the effects of testosterone levels on abdominal aortic aneurysm and tumor diameter. Results: Compared with the control group, total and free testosterone levels in the abdominal aortic aneurysm group were significantly lower(7.48±3.81 vs 10.71±4.30,P<0.001;35.36±18.74 vs 58.75±21.24,P<0.001).With the increase of total testosterone and free testosterone levels, the risk of abdominal aortic aneurysm was significantly reduced(OR=0.82,95%ci =0.73,0.91,P<0.001).(OR=0.94,95%ci =0.92,0.96,P<0.001).After adjusting for related risk factors, multivariate regression analysis showed that the risk of AAA at FT?P50 was 0.215 times higher than that at The scatter plot shows that there may be a negative correlation between the diameter of abdominal aortic aneurysm and testosterone level. Conclusion: Testosterone level is closely related to the occurrence of abdominal aortic aneurysm, low free testosterone level may be a risk factor for the occurrence of abdominal aortic aneurysm, and tumor diameter of abdominal aortic aneurysm may be negatively correlated with testosterone level.
