Objective: Observe the effect of empirical Fang Damingyin on non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy with qi and yin deficiency and blood stasis syndrome(Cys C),and explore the possible mechanism of action of the Chinese medicine prescription.Methods: 44 cases(88 eyes)of patients with diabetic retinopathy with qi and yin deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were selected,and they were given oral Damingyin to observe serum cystatin C,vision,fundus and clinical symptoms before and after treatment The change.And statistical analysis of the results before and after treatment.Results:(1)Serum cystatin C level decreased after treatment compared with before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).(2)Visual acuity improved after treatment compared with before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).(3)The total effective rate of fundus oculi and FFA examination after treatment was84.1% compared with that before treatment;(4)The total effective rate of TCM syndromes after treatment was 90.9% compared with that before treatment;(5)The total effective rate after treatment was 80.7% compared with that before treatment.Conclusion: Damingyin has the effects of nourishing qi and nourishing yin,removing blood stasis and hemostasis,and tonifying the eyesight.It can effectively improve the symptoms of TCM,vision and fundus in NPDR patients,and can significantly reduce the level of serum cystatin C in NPDR patients.Serum cystatin C,as a convenient and cheap detection method,may become an early screening indicator of DR,reduce the threat of DR to vision,and improve the quality of life of patients.
