Objective To explore the value of blood glucose monitoring for prognosis in patients with extensive burns. Methods A total of 56 patients with large-scale burns treated in the Department of Burns, the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from August 1,2017 to October 1,2019 were used as the research objects. The 56 patients were divided into two groups, which were age ?14 years old(30 cases)and age <14 years old(26 cases).Statistical analysis of blood glucose levels in two groups of patients at different time of treatment, and to evaluate the incidence of complications and the causes of hyperglycemia in patients, with SPSS19.0 Analysis of related research data, logistic regression analysis of related factors. Results Analysis of the results of this study found that there was a difference in fasting blood glucose values ?between the first and third days of treatment in the two groups,P<0.05;there was no significant difference in fasting blood glucose values.after 7days,15 days, and 20 days of treatment.,P > 0.05;there was no difference in theincidence of complications such as death, liver dysfunction, and sepsis between the two groups,P > 0.05.Analysis of the factors that induce hyperglycemia in patients are gender, age, respiratory tract burns, combined diseases, weight, and burn area.Among them, respiratory tract burns, combined diseases, weight, and burn area are independent risk factors that cause hyperglycemia.P <0.05.Conclusion Dynamic monitoring of the blood glucose index of patients with large-scale burns is helpful for timely assessment of recovery. In addition,it can prevent the occurrence of related complications and improve the condition. In addition, accurately grasping the blood glucose level of patients with large-scale burns can also be used for clinical Treatment provides a reference.
