Study On The Patriotic Health Movement In Shanxi Rural Areas(1952-1959)

The patriotic health movement originated from the war of fighting against the United States and aiding the democratic People's Republic of Korea.In the early days of the founding of new China,the vast rural areas in shanxi actively responded to the call of the party committees at all levels,organized and mobilized the whole people to participate in the mass campaign of epidemic prevention,achieved the breakthrough development of rural health undertakings,and laid a solid foundation for the construction of rural health in the new era.The thesis comprehensively analyzes and presents the multi-facies of the rural patriotic health movement in Shanxi between 1952 and 1959.First of all,it explains the urgency and importance of carrying out health work in rural areas of Shanxi from four aspects: the rampant bacterial war in the United States,the prevalence of local diseases,the poor health situation in rural areas and the weakness of epidemic prevention facilities.Secondly,from the main contents of the patriotic health campaign in rural areas of Shanxi Province,it is believed that the anti-bacterial epidemic prevention war,the elimination of the four evils and the prevention of diseases,the improvement of maternal and child health and the implementation of integrated Chinese and western medicine policies have greatly promoted the development of rural health work in Shanxi Province.The concrete practice measures carried out by the Shanxi Rural Patriotic Health Campaign are reviewed again: carrying out health publicity work,carrying out inspection,evaluating activities,holding health exhibitions,etc.Moreover,combining with the historical facts of the people's practice of carrying out the health and epidemic prevention campaign,this paper sums up and comments on the results and shortcomings of the campaign.Finally,in the analysis of Shanxi rural patriotic health movement overall reality On the basis of practical activities,the main experience is summed up,which is manifested in three aspects: adhering to the leadership of the Party,combining health work with the mass movement,and setting up typical popularization experience.At the same time,it also provides practical enlightenment for strengthening the construction of rural public health system in the new period to adhere to people-oriented,respect the status of farmers as the main body,and absorb the participation of multiple social subjects to help rural revitalization.Since the founding of new China in the early of shanxi rural patriotic health campaign promoted the agricultural production and the development of rural social civilization construction,reflects the communist party of China always adhere to the interests of the people oriented,give top priority to protect people's life safety and body health,strengthened the people to the identity of the party,to strengthen the party's leadership core status.At the same time,the historical experience of the movement is of great significance to the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and the realization of rural health development.
