Establishment,Implementation And Evaluation Of Regional PICC Conduit Maintenance Network

Objective:1.Taking the Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province as an example,a regional PICC catheter maintenance network was constructed.In order to improve the level and quality of PICC catheter maintenance for nurses in the Chuxiong Yi region,PICC catheter maintenance training courses will be held to centralize PICC maintenance nurse training to improve nurses' knowledge and ability to maintain PICC catheters;And manage;2.Preliminary evaluation of the application effect of the PICC catheter maintenance network in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province;3.To explore the management methods suitable for the maintenance of catheters during the placement of PICCs by the clinical nurses in the Chuxiong Yi nationality area,to provide homogeneous care for the patients in the basic areas,and to lay the foundation for the application and promotion of the catheter maintenance network.Methods:1.Through literature research methods,field surveys,and qualitative interviews with nurses,learn about the current status and problems of PICC catheter maintenance in Yunnan and Chuxiong Yi areas2.Questionnaire surveys and other methods were used to obtain the information on the mastery of PICC maintenance knowledge,the training of PICC maintenance knowledge,and the training needs and existing problems of clinical nurses at medical institutions at all levels in Yunnan Province and Chuxiong Yi ethnic group.3.On this basis,conduct nurse training,establish PICC maintenance standard procedures,extubation standard procedures,and complication treatment procedures to standardize nurses' clinical nursing operation capabilities and levels,and conduct regular operational evaluations and theoretical evaluations of nurses.Results:1.The average theoretical scores of 118 maintenance nurses before and after the training were(54.10 ± 10.70)points and(64.20±10.39),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The average operation scores of the 118 maintenance nurses before and after the training were(86.45 ± 4.48)points and(90.24±4.04),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The changes in the number of patients and maintenance nurses maintained at each maintenance point in the 12 months after the establishment of the network are increasing monthly,and the quality of maintenance is increasing.4.Patient satisfaction increases before and after the network is established,and the rate of missing maintenance decreasesConclusions:1.The construction of the PICC catheter maintenance network can further strengthen and standardize the clinical nurses' operation of PICC catheter maintenance;2.The construction of the PICC catheter maintenance network provides professional care quality for patients' daily catheter maintenance and management,and facilitates the patient's managed life;3.The construction of the PICC catheter maintenance network can optimize the resource allocation in the area;4.The construction of the PICC catheter maintenance network can promote the development of nursing specialization in grassroots areas.
