ObjectiveWe did a comprehensive analysis of patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS)caused by cervicocranial arterial dissection(CCAD)to explore the predictive value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)on the 3-month outcome of patients.MethodA total of 99 patients who met the study criteria were selected for this study. We collected baseline data and collected fasting blood to calculate NLR.All patients were followed up for 3 months, and the main endpoint was 3-month poor outcome(modified Rankin scale score?3 points).ResultsA total of 20(20.2%)patients had a 3-month poor outcome. The cut-off point for judging the good and poor outcome of NLR was determined by ROC curve, which was 2.9685.We divided patients into high NLR group and low NLR group according to the cut-off point. The difference in the number of patients with 3-month poor outcome was statistically significant between the two groups(P<0.001).We used Binary Logistic regression model to analyze the risk factors for poor outcome and found that NLR is associated with a 3-month poor outcome.ConclusionThe NLR level is related to the 3-month poor outcome of AIS patients caused by CCAD,and it is an important indicator to predict the 3-month poor outcome. When NLR?2.9685,the risk of 3-month poor outcome increased.NLR is a reliable biomarker with the advantage of being inexpensive and can be used to predict the 3-month functional prognosis of patients with AIS caused by CCAD.
