Objective:To understand the prevalence and distribution of hypertension among the elderly in rural areas of Suzhou. To analyze the correlation between hypertension and its risk factors. To provide evidence for prevention and control of hypertension in the elderly. Methods:This study takes the rural elderly living in a town for a long time as the research object. There are 7341 elderly people in rural areas of a town,3509 males and 3832 females. As the research object. This study included 5126 elderly people,2450 males and 2676 females. All subjects were asked about their past medical history, and their blood pressure, height, weight and waist circumference were measured.Fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were collected through fasting veins.Examination of high density lipoprotein cholesterol and blood uric acid.SPSS 22.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results:The number of hypertension patients was 3551,with an average age of 71.76±5.710,and the prevalence rate was 69.27%.Among them,1673 were males,1878 were females and 1588 were hyperlipidemia. The prevalence rate was 30.97%.The prevalence rate of diabetes mellitus was 17.14%,and that of hyperuricemia was 913,with a prevalence rate of 17.8%.The survey shows that the systolic blood pressure of women is higher than that of men,and the diastolic blood pressure level of men is higher than that of women. There is no significant difference in the prevalence of hypertension between men and women. With the increase of BMI,no matter systolic or diastolic blood pressure, there were significant differences between normal group<overweight<obese group, systolic and diastolic blood pressure groups(p<0.05).With the increase of BMI,the morbidity of the elderly also increased gradually, with statistical significance(p<0.05).Blood pressure level increases with waist circumference. The prevalence rate also increased with the increase of waist circumference, with statistical significance(p<0.05).After grouping blood sugar,it was found that systolic blood pressure increased with the increase of blood sugar, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).In terms of prevalence, with the increase of blood sugar, the prevalence of hypertension also gradually increased, with statistical significance(p<0.05).Blood lipids were grouped and found that blood pressure increased with the increase of total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and decreased with the increase of high density lipoprotein cholesterol. The prevalence increased with the increase of total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol, and decreased with the increase of high density lipoprotein cholesterol. The analysis of serum uric acid showed that there were significant differences between systolic and diastolic blood pressure(p<0.05),and the prevalence rate increased with the increase of serum uric acid(p<0.05).Multivariate logistic analysis showed that the OR values of age, body mass index, waist circumference, blood sugar, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, blood uric acid and blood uric acid were 1.024,1.115,1.019,1.143,1.639,0.641,0.613 and 1.002,respectively.The P value of sex in logistic regression analysis of single and multiple factors was greater than 0.05,which had no statistical significance.Triglycerides have statistical significance in univariate analysis, but not in multivariate analysis. Conclusion:The prevalence of hypertension is very high in rural elderly in Xiangcheng District.Gender is not a risk factor for hypertension.Age,overweight, obesity, abdominal obesity, high total cholesterol, high triglyceride, high and low density lipoprotein cholesterol and high blood uric acid are independent risk factors for hypertension.High density lipoprotein cholesterol is a protective factor for hypertension. The prevention and control of hypertension and its complications in the elderly should be strengthened.
