Effectiveness Of Itraconazole Combined With Terbinafine Cream In The Treatment Of Generalized Dermatophytosis

Objective:To observe the effectiveness of itraconazole combined with terbinafine cream in the treatment of generalized dermatophytosis.Methods:Clinical data of generalized dermatophytosis were collected in the Department of Dermatology,Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from January 2019 to December 2019.Patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.There was no statistical difference of in gender,age,course,condition of patient in the two groups.the experimental group was given itraconazole 0.1 twice a day for 2 weeks,and 1%terbinafine cream twice a day for 4 weeks;the control group was given 1%terbinafine cream twice a day for 4 weeks.The clinical effectiveness,fungal clearance and safety of the two groups were evaluated after 2 weeks and 4 weeks respectively.Results:A total of 55 patients were selected,including 36 males and 19 females at the ratio of 1.89:1,the average age was36.56�18.78(9-72)years old,the average course was 10.52�11.33(1-48)months,the average condition score was 8.00�0.94(6-10),28 cases in experimental group,27 casesin control group.At the end of second week,9 casesin experimental group were effective with 32.14%of effective rate;in control group,3 cases were effectivewith 11.11%of effective rate.The effective rate in experimental group was better than that in control group(P<0.05).At the end of fourth week,28 cases in experimental group were effective with 100%of effectiverate;in control group,24 cases were effectivewith88.89%of effective rate.There was no significant difference in the effective rate between the two groups(P>0.05).At the second week of treatment,10 cases in experimental group showed negative in fungus examination with 35.71%of fungal clearance rate.In control group,3 cases showed negative in fungus examination with 11.11%of fungal clearance rate.The fungal clearance ratein experimental group was better than that in control group(P<0.05).At the fourth week of treatment,27cases in experimental group showed negative in fungus examination with 96.43%of fungal clearance rate.In control group,24 cases showed negative in fungus examination with 88.89%of fungal clearance rate.There was no significant difference in mycological efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant adverse event in both groups.Conclusion:Compared with using terbinafine cream alone,itraconazole combined with terbinafine cream is more effective in treating generalized dermatophytosis,which is safe and feasible.Also,it is conducive to remove the fungus rapidly.However,there was no significant difference between the two groups after full course of treatment.
