Objective: To investigate the hospitalization status of MPP in our hospital in the past three years, and analyze the relationship between the clinical dates, imaging changes and laboratory examination indexes of MPP severity. Methods: A retrospective clinical epidemiological study was conducted,The 547 children admitted to our hospital and diagnosed with MPP from 2017 to 2020 were collected, according to the MPP guidelines, they were divided to 378 cases of MMPP group and 169 cases of SMPP group,to investigate the inpatient trends and proportion changes, analyzed the distribution of disease by different age, sex, gender, nation, comorbidities, and correlation between MPP severity and relevant clinical dates, pulmonary CT findings, laboratory examination results. Results: From 2017 to 2020,the incidence of SMPP in our hospital accounted for 11.25%,27.10%and 50.00%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The ratio of male and female MPP children was 1.15:1,with 53.56%males and 46.44%females.MPP had the highest incidence in Han children(72.48%).The average age of MMPP was 4.32±3.71 years, highest incidence was preschool age(41.27%).The average age of SMPP was 3.63±2.83 years, highest incidence was toddler's period(30.18%).The incidence of MMPP was highest in the spring,The incidence of SMPP was highest in the summer. The differences in age and season between two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05),But the gender and nation differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The primary imaging findings of MMPP were dotted or patchy shadow, the most common lesion was double lung. The primary imaging findings of SMPP were large lamellar exudation and consolidation, the most common lesion was right lung. The differences between two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The differences in neutrophil,CRP,IL-6,Ig G,Ig M,ESR,LDH,SF levels between MMPP and SMPP groups were statistically significant(P<0.05),and Ig E,Ig A,WBC,PLT,PCT,ALT,AST levels were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion: From 2017 to 2020,the incidence of MPP in our hospital was the highest in 2018,but the incidence of SMPP increased significantly year by year. The most common complications of MPP was Asthma and Digestive diseases. The peak age of MMPP was preschool age,the peak season was spring. The peak age of SMPP was toddler's period, the peak season was summer.MMPP was mainly double lung infiltration, the most common CT appearance was dotted or patchy shadow.SMPP was mainly right lung infiltration, the most common CT appearance was large lamellar exudation or consolidation.Neutrophil,CRP,IL-6,Ig G,Ig M,ESR,LDH,SF levels were related to the severity of MPP.
