ObjectiveThe self-care ability of patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT)was intervened by motivational interview, and the effect of intervention was evaluated. To provide a reference for medical staff to study the self-care intervention of hematopoietic stem cells.MethodsThis is an experimental study.Eighty patients with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation from a hospital in Zhengzhou,Henan province were selected as the study subjects, and the subjects were randomly divided into the control group and the intervention group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing and health manual of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and the intervention group was given motivational interview intervention on the basis of the control group,During the laminar flow chamber, patients were interviewed four times one by one, that is,on the second day after entering the chamber, one week after transplantation and two weeks after transplantation, one day before leaving the chamber,30-40 minutes each time. After leaving the chamber, patients were followed up three months after transplantation.Every two weeks, patients were followed up by telephone for about 20 minutes. Before and after intervention, three months after transplantation, behavioral change assessment questionnaire,self-care ability measurement scale, functional assessment of cancer therapy-bone marrow transplantation scale were used to evaluate the intervention effect of motivational interview on self-care ability of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation patients.ResultsA total of 74 patients completed the study, including 37 in the intervention group and 37 in the control group. The results show that:1.Before the intervention, the general demographic data(such as age, gender, education level, family monthly income, medical payment form, etc.)and clinical data characteristics(such as disease diagnosis, transplantation type, pretreatment scheme, etc.)of the patients in the intervention group and the control group were analyzed, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).2.Repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that time effect on behavior change stage was significant(P<0.05),the inter-group effect and interaction effect were not statistically significant(P>0.05),The scores of patients in the intervention group were higher than those in the control group at different time points after the intervention; After the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the evaluation of behavior change stage(P>0.05).Three months after transplantation, there was significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).3.Repeated measures analysis of variance showed that time effect,inter-group effect and interaction effects on self-care agency were statistically significant(P<0.05);After the intervention, there was significant difference in the score of self-care ability between the two groups(P<0.05);Three months after transplantation, there was significant difference between the two groups in the score of self-care ability and the score of self-concept dimension(P<0.05);The self-care agency and scores of each dimension of the intervention group at different time points were compared within the group, the results showed that there was no statistically significant difference in the score of the dimension of health knowledge before and after the intervention(P>0.05),and the rest were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Repeated measurement analysis of variance showed that time effect on quality of life was significant(P<0.05),the inter-group effect and interaction effect were not statistically significant(P>0.05);After the intervention,to compare the score for quality of life and scores for each dimension, there was no significant difference between the two groups.3 months after transplantation(P>0.05),there was a significant difference between the two groups in the scores of transplantation specific(P<0.05);The quality of life and scores of each dimension of the intervention group at different time points were compared within the group, the results showed that there was no statistically significant difference in the score of the dimension of social and family status before intervention and three months after transplantation(P>0.05),and the rest were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionsThe intervention based on motivational interviewing can improve the self-care ability of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation patients and improve their quality of life;It is an also effective and feasible intervention to improve the self-care ability of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation patients.
