The high-dose chemoradiotherapy and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) improve the outcome of some kinds of neoplasma significantly, especially malignant lymphoma, prolongs the disease free survival and overall survival of patients to a sizeable extent. But following the prolongation of survival, patients suffer from various distant complications that caused by the high-dose chemoradiotherapy, the mobilization, apheresis and reinfusion of stem cell and the correlative treatment, that impels the doctors to concern about the quality of life in post-transplanted patients.Extensive studies on the quality of life in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation had been done in many kinds of field with very different instruments. Most of them focused on problems commonly experienced by patients, such as the physical function, emotional function and psychological function, social function, the symptoms and signs that may be caused by the disease and treatment, and the global health status. Owing to the discrepancy of methods and instruments used in the studies, and characteristics of patients, the results were different. Until now, few study has been performed on the quality of life in Chinese patients who suffered from the hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
