| In recent years,the incidence and mortality of cancer in China have been increasing,and cancer is becoming a major disease that affects physical and mental health of patients.Depression is the most common psychological reaction of cancer patients,mainly manifested as stressful,indifference,reticence,fatigue,despair,suicide,etc.Depression not only affect the patients’ treatment,rehabilitation,survival time and quality of life,but also affect the mental health of family members or the caregivers.In this study,22 cancer patients with depression in H street were selected as subjects to participate the social work intervention research.Based on the previous literature review and need survey,this study takes psychological flexibility,self-evaluation and self-efficacy as mediating variables and depression as outcome variables.Depression was measured by the Self-Rating Depression Scale,psychological flexibility was measured by the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-2nd Edition and the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire,and the self-evaluation and self-efficacy of cancer patients were measured by the Core Self Evaluations Scale and the General Self Efficacy Scale.In this study,a quasi-experimental design was used to assign qualified cancer patients to the intervention group and the control group,and pre-test and post-test were conducted using the scale.Cancer patients in the control group did not receive psychotherapy,but cancer patients in the intervention group participated in group activities.According to the steps of social work intervention research,the problem theory,logical model and change theory of cancer patients’depression were sorted out,and the intervention manual was developed and improved.On this basis,group activities based on acceptance of commitment therapy were carried out.In the group intervention,group members observe,understand and accept themselves through metaphors,behavioral and mindfulness exercises,to enhance self-awareness and concentration,and promote cognitive change.Promote their behavioral change by strengthening behavioral exercises,value discussions,and family exercises.The results of the intervention and quantitative data results showed that the pre-test scale scores of the intervention group and the control group were basically identical,and there were significant changes in the pre-test and post-test scale scores of the intervention group.Research shows that ACT group work intervention can effectively improve the psychological flexibility,self-evaluation and self-efficacy of cancer patients,thereby improving the depression of cancer patients.This study provides a new method for social work to intervene depression in cancer patients.Of course,the further improved intervention manual can better serve more cancer patients. |
