Research purposes:Aerobic exercise, anaerobic exercise, resistance exercise and other forms of exercise can improve the cognitive ability and memory function of the elderly, but Tai Chi Quan exercise may be more effective. In this study,a transverse comparison experiment method is adopted.Through the behavioral changes of Tai Chi Quan exercise on the memory ability of the elderly,voxel-based morphometry(VBM)and regional homogeneity of brain function are adopted from the perspective of magnetic resonance imaging.ReHo)These two indexes compare and analyze the differences in brain structure and brain function between long-term Tai Chi Quan exercisers and healthy walking exercisers,so as to determine the cranial nerve mechanism that Tai Chi Quan exercises can reshape the hippocampal structure and function and obtain better memory ability, thus delaying cognitive decline.Materials and Methods:This experiment recruited a long-term Tai Chi Quan exercise group and a walking exercise group in Suzhou. The long-term Tai Chi Quan exercise group finally selected 20 people as the research object, and the walking exercise group selected 22 people as the research object. The brain structure and brain function of long-term Tai Chi Quan exercise group and walking exercise group in resting state were monitored by magnetic resonance technology, and analyzed and studied by VBM and ReHo indexes. Results:We conducted behavioral tests of all subjects on the sub-items of MoCA scale and found that the long-term Tai Chi Quan exercise group was better than the walking exercise group in delaying memory tasks. After that,VBM and ReHo indexes were analyzed respectively. The statistics showed that the left hippocampus, left insula, right supplementary exercise area and right fusiform gyrus gray matter density of Tai Chi Quan subjects who exercised for a long time were higher than those of the walking exercise group when the P<0.001,voxel number was greater than 50 and no correction was made.Compared with the walking exercise group, the ReHo values in the left hippocampus, right anterior cuneiform lobe and left insula in the long-term Tai Chi Quan exercise group are higher than those in the walking exercise group. The ReHo value of walking exercise group was higher than that of long-term tai chi exercise group on the top of the right side. Conclusion:Two different exercise methods can affect the changes of brain structure and function of the elderly, and the difference between the two groups shows that Tai Chi quan exercise can change brain function changes and is more efficient for preventing senile diseases such as aging.
