1.Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of enhanced extracorporeal counterpulsation combined with oral small dose PDE5 inhibitor in the treatment of diabetes mellitus erectile dysfunction(DMED).2.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed 42 patients with diabetic erectile dysfunction diagnosed and treated in Center for Reproductive Medicine Shandong University from March 2018 to October 2019.The mean age of the patients was(37.21 ± 8.68)year old.The mean course of disease was(3.35±2.07)years(range from 0.5 to 7 years). The patients were randomly divided into control group and study group with 21 cases in each group.,Patients in control group were given small dose PDE5 inhibitor treatment while the patients in the study group were performed with small dose PDE5 inhibitor and EECP treatment. Finally,we analyzed the patients' general information, endocrine hormones,IIEF-5 scores, blood glucose, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and other clinical data before and after treatment3.Results:After the treatment, the total effective rate of the study group(90.48%)was higher than that of the control group(61.90%),and the difference was statistically significant. The IIEF-5 score in the study group was significantly higher after treatment than before treatment, and the IIEF-5 score of the control group was significantly higher after treatment than the baseline data, with statistical significant difference(P<0.01)The patients in the study group showed higher IIEF-5 score than that of the control group statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the fasting blood glucose and systolic blood pressure of the two groups also showed o statistically significant difference. There was no significant difference in diastolic blood pressure between the two groups before and after treatment.4.Conclusions:Enhanced external counterpulsation in combination with small dose of PDE5 inhibitor treatment could improve the erectile function than the single treatmeant of small dose PDE5 inhibitor of the patients with DMED.The enhanced external counterpulsation could reduce the level of fasting blood glucose and systolic blood pressure.
