Application Of Transcervical Resection Of Endometrium Treating Anemia Caused By Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Objectives:Heavy menstrual bleeding(HMB)for long time can lead to anemia,which is the mean reason for hemorrhagic anemia in women.Anemia weakens the immune system,which can cause lots of diseases,and affect the life of women.The article aims to explore the efficacy and clinical significance of Transcervical resection of endometrium(TCRE)in treating anemia caused by heavy menstrual bleedingMaterials and methods:We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 20 patients who treated by TCRE for their anemia caused by heavy menstrual bleeding at the Jinan Central Hospital of Shandong University from January 2017 to December 2019.The patients we selected had the following features:1.they had no fertility request and asked to reserve uterine.2.thy had anemia caused by heavy menstrual bleeding and poorly treated by drugs or other treatments were not tolerated.3.without gynecological malignant tumors or acute and chronic pelvic inflammation.We treated patients by TCRE and analyzed the dates of their laboratory tests and clinical feature before and after surgery.Finally,we evaluated their satisfaction and whether there had adverse reactions.Results:1.After TCRE,the patients' hemoglobin(HGB)significantly increased,and the results showed a significant difference.2.After TCRE,the patients' menstrual blood volume significantly decreased and even amenorrhea,and the results showed a significant difference3.Telephone follow-up:the treatment satisfaction rate reached 100%,the menstrual period was even less than 95%,and the recurrence rate was 5%.Three patients were re-admitted due to vaginal bleeding,one of them was hospitalized for TCRE again,the others were treated with drugs.There were no other adverse reactions during follow-up.Conclusions:The TCRE was an effective,high satisfaction and fewer side effects method for treating anemia which caused by Heavy menstrual bleeding,and TCRE can clarify a diagnosis and guide treatment according pathology results.
