Correlation Between TCM Syndrome Differentiation Of Dry Eye Disease And PSQI And ISI Scale Results Of Insomnia

Objective:To explore the correlation between TCM syndrome differentiation and insomnia in patients with dry eye disease,guided by the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine,and to provide new ideas for the treatment of dry eye disease.Methods:Patients with dry eye disease who were enrolled in the ophthalmology clinic of Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine during January 2019 and December 2019 were randomly selected.The patients who met the inclusion criteria were surveyed.The results were statistically processed using SPSS 21.0 software.Statistical analysis was performed on the correlations between TCM syndrome types,age,gender,type of work,and insomnia,and the regularity was studied and summarized.Results:A total of 70 patients with dry eye disease were included in this study.There were 33 male patients and 37 female patients.Among them,there were 26 cases,23 cases,and 21 cases of qi-yin deficiency syndrome,spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome,and yin-deficiency damp-heat syndrome.There was no significant correlation between TCM syndromes of patients with dry eye syndrome and patients' gender and age(P>0.05),and there were correlations with work type,sensitivity factors,and sleep time,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Insomnia in patients with dry eye disease has nothing to do with age and gender(P>0.05),and it is related to the type of work of the patient.Patients with deficiency of qi and yin are more prone to insomnia,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Results:Patients with deficiency of qi and yin in patients with dry eye disease are more sensitive to air conditioning and heat dryers.In terms of work types,mental and physical deficiency syndromes are mainly in mental workers.PSQI and ISI scales indicated that patients' insomnia was independent of age and gender,and related to work type.Patients with dry eye disease with qi and yin deficiency are more likely to have insomnia.At the same time of clinical treatment of dry eye disease,we should pay attention to the patient's sleep,and use the drugs that nourish qi and nourish yin and calm the nerves.
