Development Of Patient's Usage Intention Towards Diabetes Applications Scale

Objective:To compile the patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale and test its reliability and validity.Methods:The first stage: retrospective integration of relevant literature and selection of 20 diabetic patients for semi-structured interviews to understand the intention of using diabetes applications and their influencing factors.The second stage: the content of the scale was screened and evaluated by 10 experts in the related fields(medical,nursing,public health,management,and psychometrics),and an 18-item initial application scale for diabetes application intention was formed.The third stage: a preliminary survey of 30 diabetic patients was conducted to assess whether the contents of the initial patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale were easy to understand and clear.The fourth stage: a formal survey of 430 diabetic patients to evaluate the reliability and validity of the diabetic application using the intention vector table.Result:1.After consulting the theory and related literature,combining qualitative interviews with diabetes patients,expert consultation,and surveys,we finally form the patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale,which contains 18 items and consists of 3 dimensions: performance expectancy(7 items),effort expectancy(6 items),social Influence(5 items).2.Reliability of the scale: Overall Cronbach's ? coefficient of the patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale is 0.930,the Cronbach's ? coefficient of the three dimensions is between 0.888 and 0.919;the half-fold reliability of the total scale is 0.849,the half-fold reliability of the three dimensions is between 0.850 and 0.888;the retest reliability of the total scaler is 0.934,and the retest reliability of the three dimensions is between 0.857 and 0.900.3.Validity of the scale: The CVI of the patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale is 0.978,and the content validity is good;exploratory factor analysis results show that the load value of the item in its common factor is 0.678~0.899,and the interpretation rate of cumulative variance is 71.191%.Through confirmatory factor analysis,the scale basically meets the requirements of various indicators,and the model fits well.Conclusion:1.This study completed the patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale,which includes three dimensions of performance expectancy(7 items),effort expectancy(6 items),and social influence(5 items).2.The patient's usage intention towards diabetes applications scale formed by this study has good reliability and validity.
