Objective At present,the growth rate of breast cancer in China is increasing.Although the treatment of breast cancer is improving,there are still not a few women who die of breast cancer every year.It was found that the differentiation related gene 9(Mda-9)/ligand protein glycan binding protein(Syntenin)could promote cell proliferation and metastasis in melanoma cells,but the expression characteristics in breast cancer tissues have not been paid much attention.In this paper,the expression of Syntenin in breast cancer was detected,and the relationship between Syntenin expression,clinicopathological features and prognosis of different molecular types of breast cancer was analyzed.Whether Syntenin can be used as a clinical index to predict the malignant degree and prognosis of breast cancer was discussed.Methods A total of 138 cases of breast cancer confirmed by the Department of pathology and science were collected from January 2011 to January 2013.After he staining and screening,breast cancer tissue samples were obtained,and the expression of Syntenin in cancer tissue and normal tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry.The clinical pathological characteristics such as menstrual status,tumor volume,lymph node status,TNM stage,hormone receptor status were statistically analyzed.At the same time,patients were followed up by Kaplan Meier The survival curve was used to analyze the disease-free survival rate of patients,and Cox proportional regression model was established to analyze the relationship between DFS and various factors.Results Compared with the control group,the expression rate of syntenin in breast cancer was significantly higher.The expression rate of Syntenin in three negative breast cancer was significantly higher than that in non-three negative breast cancer(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between Syntenin positive expression and ER,PR,HER-2 receptor positive expression(P>0.05).Syntenin was positively correlated with tumor size and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).The positive expression of Syntenin was positively correlated with TNM stage(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that Syntenin receptor status,breast cancer molecular typing and lymph node metastasis were the main factors affecting DFS(P<0.05).Conclusion Syntenin is related to lymph node metastasis,tumor size and three negative types of breast cancer.It may be related to the proliferation and invasion of breast cancer,promote the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer cells,and affect the disease-free survival rate of patients.But whether Syntenin can be used as a clinical indicator to predict the severity and prognosis of breast cancer needs further study.
