Objective: The purpose of this paper is to collect and study the documents and works of Professor Wei Guikang's theory of Ji-Du.By studying the origins,contents,contributions and characteristics of the theory,we can enrich the research of Bagui medicine,provide references for the research,teaching,clinical practices keep people in good health and promote the development of Bagui medicine and the inheritance of famous doctors.Methods: Firstly,through the library and the Chinese database,the author retrieved works and articles of Professor Wei Guikang,and collected relevant materials related to his life story,academic thou ghts and clinical experience,focusing on sorting out the contents re lated to the ridge superintendent.Secondly,the author reviewed the contents related to spine and Du Mai in the literature of traditional Chinese medicine and combed the development of the theory of ri dge Ji-Du.Then,the author visited the professor Wei Guikang to c onsult relevant questions and supplement the research content.In th e end,by making a comprehensive use of Traditional Chinese Medi cine(TCM)literature,various theories of TCM,osteology of TCMand other disciplines of the theory and method,the author organize s and analyzes the materials,discusses related issues and completes the collation and research of the theory of Ji-Du.Results: The theory of Ji-Du originated from the understanding of spine and Du Mai in Traditional Chinese medicine,and was put forward by Professor Wei Guikang on the basis of his research on spine related diseases,combining Chinese and Western medical theories and his own clinical practice experience.There are four aspects to it:the spine and Du Mai are integrated in structure,function and pathology;the spine and arteries and veins are connected with the whole body zang-fu organs and affect each other;in the treatment of related diseases of the spine and Du Mai,the external treatment should pay attention to correct the spine structure and make Du Mai unobstructed,the internal regulation should pay attention to make Du Mai unobstructed and recuperate the kidney system;in health care,pay attention to recuperate and protect the spine and meridians.Conclusion(s): The theory of Ji-Du is a theory that elaborates the relationship between the spine and the tuber,and it is also an important thought that guides the treatment of spine-related diseases.The theory of Ji-Du not only suggests the integrity of the spine and arteries,but also illustrates that the human body is an organic unity with the spine and veins as the core,and the limbs,viscera and meridians areinterconnected.Abnormalities in the spine and Du Mai can lead to diseases of other systems,and diseases of other systems can also be manifestations of abnormalities in the spine and Du Mai.This theory broadens the thinking of diagnosis and treatment of spinal lesions,and also provides a new thinking direction for the diagnosis and treatment of other systemic diseases.The theory of Ji-Du is also a theory that combines the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine with modern scientific theories,providing a good example for the practice of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine,and promoting the innovation and development of osteology of traditional Chinese medicine,spine-related diseases,and Ba Gui medicine.
