Objective:In this study, electroacupuncture was applied to laryngoscopy to observe the improvement of cough, nausea, vomiting and other uncomfortable reactions that may be caused by patients in the process of examination.By observing the changes of heart rate and blood pressure before and after laryngoscopy,we can understand the physiological interference of anesthesia to patients, and provide certain clinical basis and reference for the application of acupuncture anesthesia in laryngoscopy,so as to provide a safer and more comfortable anesthesia method for laryngoscopy. Methods:In this study,60 patients who need laryngoscopy were randomly divided into experimental group(acupuncture anesthesia group)and control group(tetracaine anesthesia group),30 cases in each group. Before the examination, the personal information and related medical history of the patients were recorded;the heart rate and blood pressure of the patients were measured and recorded;the mental state of the patients was observed to determine whether they were nervous or anxious. The control group was anesthetized with tetracaine, and the experimental group was anesthetized with electroacupuncture before the examination. The two sides of Tianding and futu points were taken, and the electroacupuncture instrument with frequency of 2 Hz/15 Hz and density wave was connected for continuous stimulation. The intensity was mainly patient tolerance, and the needle was kept until the end of the examination. All the laryngoscope doctors involved in the clinical trial were the same person, and they were skilled in the operation. After the examination,VAS scores were given to the patients, heart rate, blood pressure, adverse reactions and examination results were recorded, and whether the patients were willing to undergo laryngoscopy again was investigated.Results:1.Compared with the tetracaine anesthesia group, there was no significant difference in age and gender between the two groups(P>0.05);there was no significant difference in individual factors affecting laryngoscopy between the two groups(P>0.05).2.There was no statistical difference in pharyngeal reflex grade between acupuncture anesthesia group and tetracaine anesthesia group(P>0.05);there was no statistical difference in anesthesia effect and laryngoscopy examination results between the two groups(P>0.05).3.There was no significant difference in heart rate, blood pressure and VAS between acupuncture anesthesia group and tetracaine anesthesia group(P>0.05).4.Compared with tetracaine anesthesia group, the acupuncture anesthesia group had less foam and clear vision, and laryngoscopy was more successful. There was a statistical significance(P<0.05).Compared with tetracaine anesthesia group, the incidence of cough, expectoration, nausea and vomiting, dizziness and headache in the former group was significantly lower than that in the latter group(P<0.05).5.Compared with the tetracaine anesthesia group, the satisfaction degree and re-examination acceptance rate of the former group were significantly higher than that of the latter group(P<0.05).ConclusionThe application of electroacupuncture in laryngoscope examination can effectively relieve or eliminate the discomfort of cough, nausea and vomiting that may be caused by the patient during the examination,so as to improve the patient's tolerance and compliance. It can effectively reduce the foam production of throat secretions and promote clear vision of laryngoscope. In addition, acupuncture anesthesia can improve the re-examination rate of laryngoscope patients.
