BackgroundIn recent years, medical disputes have occurred from time to time in our country, and the doctor-patient relationship has become one of the hot issues that catch people's extensive attention in building a harmonious society. In addition, with the rapid development of self-media,once disputes between doctors and patients occur, information will be quickly spread and develop to the focus of public in a very short period of time. The conventional thinking of "commercial consumption relationship" or the traditional thinking of "strong doctors and weak patients" have been enhancing the doctor-patient relationship to the forefront of the network media. What is worth mentioning is the time when I was conducting my research is exactly the period of the COVID-19 outbreak in2020.Whether the trend of audience's cognition of the doctor-patient relationship will be changed during the epidemic has also become one of the concerns of the author during the interview after the research.ObjectiveThrough the discussing the influence of network media on the doctor-patient relationship through typical cases and questionnaires,as well as the problems and causes in the network media's reporting of the doctor-patient relationship, this thesis is aimed to provide decision-making reference for the rational use of network media, elimination of its negative influence, strengthening its positive influence and building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.MethodThis paper uses the method of literature research to explore the research progress on the influence of network communication on doctor-patient relationship at home and abroad.Using case analysis method to analyze typical cases, and summarizing the evolution process and propagation law of doctor-patient contradiction after the intervention of network media, thus analyzing the influence of network media propagation on doctor-patient relationship;through the questionnaire, verify the influence of network media on the doctor-patient relationship, and explore the audience's cognition and demands for the doctor-patient relationship report;targeted interviews with relevant personnel are also carried out,so as to fully understand the impact of network media on the doctor-patient relationship from different perspectives.ResultInternet media has both positive and negative effects on the doctor-patient relationship:1.It broadens the channels for patients to receive medical treatment.Online consultation can provide more patients with medical treatment opportunities.2.It strengthens supervision by public opinion is conducive to standardizing medical behaviors, but its negative effects are obvious.3.Due to media's coverage of doctor-patient disputes and the media environment it has created,it is getting hard for the audience are to have a rational understanding of the current situation of the doctor-patient relationship in China.4.It aggravates the distrust between doctors and patients and forms a vicious circle of doctor-patient disputes caused by lack of trust, which is not conducive to the harmonious development of the doctor-patient relationship in our country.ConclusionDue to the hospital's lack of understanding of network media, poor awareness of crisis management, audience's lack of basic medical knowledge leading to their strong dependence on network media, excessive pursuit of high attention of network media practitioners and violation of real and objective reports, and lack of medical background, the network media in China has developed rapidly, but its negative influence on the development of doctor-patient relationship is obvious. This study explores the solutions to alleviate the conflicts between doctors and patients from four aspects: government, medical institutions, patients and network media. It is suggested that the government should strengthen intervention, medical institutions should improve management level, patients should improve cognition and media operation should be standardized.Through the cooperation of four levels, the goal of eliminating the negative influence of network media on the doctor-patient relationship, guiding correct public opinion and building a good doctor-patient relationship is finally achieved.
