Clinical Study Of Buyang Huanwu Tongbian Decoction In The Treatment Of Constipation Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis After Stroke

Objective:Through the use of Buyang huanwu tongbian decoction treat constipation patients with qi deficiency blood stasis after stroke,and compared with western medicine Lactulose Oral Liquid,to evaluate the effect of buyang huanwu tongbian decoction on the TCM syndrome,the severity of constipation,the improved Barthel index and the quality of life score of poststroke constipation,combined with statistical methods to compare the curative effects and safety between the two groups,has provided the new mentality for the clinical treatment of constipation after stroke.Methods:In this study,80 hospitalized patients diagnosed as post-stroke constipation with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in the second department of neurology,Shanxi hospital of integrated traditional and western medicine from December 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the source of cases,and randomly divided into the control group of 40 cases and the treatment group of 40 cases.In both groups,reasonable diet,feces and daily life were established,and basic treatment was given.The treatment group was treated with buyang huanwu tongbian decoction(Zhihuangqi 30 g,Dangguiwei 10 g,Taoren 6g,Honghua 6g,Chishao 10 g,Chuanxiong 6g,Dilong 6g,Baizhu 10 g,Huomaren 30 g,Quangualou 10 g,Zhiqiao 10 g,Gancao 6g)for 4 weeks.The control group was treated with Lactulose Oral Liquid for 4 weeks.To observe and compare the changes of TCM syndrome score,constipation symptom severity score,modified Barthel index score and quality of life score before and after treatment in the two groups.,and to observe and evaluate the safety of therapeutic drugs in the two groups.Results:1.General data comparison: The two groups were compared in gender,age,stroke type,disease course,TCM syndrome score before treatment,constipation symptom severity score,modified barthel index and life quality score,respectively.The P values were all less than 0.05(P < 0.05),indicating that the data of the two groups were comparable.2.The two groups before and after treatment group comparison: After 4 weeks of treatment,two groups of TCM syndrome integral,constipation symptom severity score and life quality score compared to the previous P < 0.01,there was significant difference,modified barthel index compared to the previous,the treatment group P < 0.01,there was statistical significance,the control group P > 0.05,there was no statistical significance,the results showed that buyang huanwu tongbian decoction and Lactulose Oral Liquid had good effect on relieving constipation symptoms,TCM syndrome and improving patients' quality of life after stroke,while buyang huanwu tongbian decoction had significant effect on improving the degree of neurological impairment.3.Comparison between the two groups after treatment: After 4 weeks of treatment,there was a significant difference between the two groups in the score of TCM syndrome and modified barthel index compared with P < 0.01.In terms of constipation symptom severity score,P < 0.05,there was statistically significant difference between the two groups.In terms of quality of life score,there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups compared with P > 0.05.It shows that buyang huanwu tongbian decoction has better therapeutic effect on constipation,qi deficiency and blood stasis after stroke than Lactulose Oral Liquid,especially in improving the score of TCM syndrome and modified barthel index,while buyang huanwu tongbian decoction and Lactulose Oral Liquid had similar effects in improving patients' quality of life.4.During the treatment,there was no obvious adverse reaction in the treatment group,while 1 case of abdominal distension appeared in the control group,indicating that buyang huanwu tong decoction and Lactulose Oral Liquid were of high safety.Conclusion:Buyang huanwu tongbian decoction and Lactulose Oral Liquid have good efficacy and high safety in the treatment of constipation,qi deficiency and blood stasis after stroke..Among them,buyang huanwu tongbian decoction is superior to Lactulose Oral Liquid in improving TCM syndromes and constipation symptoms and promoting the recovery of nerve function,and has similar efficacy in improving the quality of life of constipation patients.
