Objective:To explore the mechanism of acupuncture at Zusanli and Hegu points on gastrointestinal dysfunction in patients with acute pancreatitis, and to provide a simple and effective TCM treatment plan for the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients with acute pancreatitis. Methods:From October 2018 to January 2020,52 patients with acute pancreatitis were randomly divided into two groups:experimental group(26 cases)and control group(26 cases). Both groups were given basic treatment(including fasting water, acid suppression and stomach protection, pancreatic secretion inhibition, infection prevention,Dachaihu Decoction Chinese herbal enema, etc.),while the experimental group was given basic treatment, acupuncture at Zusanli and Hegu points on both sides, the treatment course was 7 days. The clinical effect of acupuncture was evaluated by comparing the indexes of serum amylase, urine amylase,leukocyte,interleukin-6,C-reactive protein, the time of abdominal pain relief, the time of first defecation, the time of bowel sound recovery, and the change of APACHE Ⅱ score before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the inflammatory indexes of the patients in the experimental group and the control group were significantly lower than those on the day of admission, but there was no significant difference in the levels of serum amylase, urine amylase,leukocyte,interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in Apache scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).The time of relieving abdominal pain and abdominal distention in the experimental group was not significant,The recovery time of bowel sounds and the first defecation time in the two groups were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In this clinical trial, acupuncture at Zusanli and Hegu points on both sides has no significant difference in the decrease of serum amylase, urine amylase,leukocyte,interleukin-6,C-reactive protein in patients with acute pancreatitis compared with the control group, but there is significant difference in clinical efficacy, which can effectively shorten the time of abdominal pain and abdominal distention relief, the time of bowel sound recovery, and the first defecation The clinical application of acupuncture at Zusanli and Hegu points is valuable for the recovery of gastrointestinal function in the treatment of acute pancreatitis.
