| Objective:Neuromyelitis Optica Sprectrum Disorder(NMOSD)is a chronic inflammatory central nervous system(CNS)disease, mainly affecting the spinal cord and optic nerve is used in young and middle-aged women autoimmune astrocytes(CNS)disease, think at present, including B and T lymphocytes,a variety of inflammatory cells and cytokines play an important role in the disease process. In this study, the values and concentrations of interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-10(IL-10)in cerebrospinal fluid of patients with acute NMOSD were detected to observe the changes of il-6 and il-10 in cerebrospinal fluid of patients with acute NMOSD.Methods:Clinical data of patients with acute stage optic neuromyelitis spectrum disease who were first diagnosed in the department of neurology and ophthalmology of xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region people’s hospital during 2018-12/2019-11 were collected.Among them,10 cases of aquaporin-4(AQP4)antibody positive acute stage NMOSD patients were selected, and 13 cases of Healthy control group(HCs)matched by age and sex were selected at the same time.ELISA determined the cerebrospinal fluid IL-6 and IL-10 in 10 cases of acute stage NMOSD patients and 13 Healthy control groups. Results:Compared with the healthy control group, the level of IL-6 in CSF of 10 patients in the acute NMOSD group increased, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.003).The level of cerebrospinal fluid IL-10 decreased in the NMOSD group, but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P=0.335).The level of cerebrospinal fluid IL-6 in patients with the first symptom of optic neuritis in the acute phase of NMOSD was higher than that in patients with the first symptom of acute myelitis in the acute phase of NMOSD,and the difference of cerebrospinal fluid IL-6 was statistically significant(P=0.030).There was no significant difference in cerebrospinal fluid IL-10 between acute myelitis and optic neuritis(P=0.585).There was no statistical significance between the course of disease and the levels of cerebrospinal fluid IL-6 and IL-10 in patients with acute NMOSD.There was no significant correlation between CSF IL-6 level and EDSS score in patients with acute NMOSD(r=0.247 P=0.491).There was a significant correlation between cerebrospinal fluid IL-10 level and EDSS score in patients with acute NMOSD(r= 0.739 P=0.015*).Conclusion:1.In patients with acute NMOSD,the level of IL-6 increases and promotes the secretion of autoantibodies, playing a pathogenic role.2.The IL-10 level of female patients with NMOSD in the acute stage was higher than that of male patients with NMOSD in the acute stage, and the IL-10 level was correlated with EDSS score, suggesting that IL-10 may be involved in the pathogenesis of NMOSD. |
