Objective: To analyze the clinical characteristics of endometrial polyps in perimenopausal and postmenopausal patients. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 452 patients who underwent hysteroscopy and endometrial polypectomy in the gynecology department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from April2017 to December 2018.Data,including 392 cases of perimenopause,60 cases after menopause. The morphological characteristics and clinical manifestations of endometrial polyps and clinical manifestations of perimenopausal and postmenopausal patients were compared, and the relationship between the number and size of polyps and abnormal uterine bleeding was compared.Results:(1)Compared with the two physiological stages, the abnormal uterine bleeding caused by endometrial polyps was not statistically significant(P>0.05);(2)The number and size of endometrial polyps were compared between the two physiological stages, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),multiple common in perimenopausal period(68.9%),single common after menopause(71.7%);(3)In two physiological stages, the abnormal uterine bleeding caused by endometrial polyps was compared with the shape of polyps, only compared the size of the polyps in perimenopause with abnormal uterine bleeding was statistically significant(P<0.05);the rest were not statistically significant(P>0.05);(4)There was no statistically significant difference between the abnormal uterine bleeding caused by postmenopausal endometrial polyps and the thickness of the endometrium suggested by ultrasound(P>0.05).Conclusion: Women with endometrial polyps after perimenopause can cause abnormal uterine bleeding;Women with endometrial polyps in perimenopause are more frequent, and those with a diameter ? 10 mm are more likely to cause symptoms of abnormal uterine bleeding.Hysteroscopy and treatment are recommended for clinical bleeding;Postmenopausal patients with endometrial polyps have hidden symptoms, smallpolyps, and are prone to malignant changes, which are not easy to be found during gynecological ultrasound examination. It is recommended that postmenopausal women have regular physical examinations. If endometrial thickening is found, repeat ultrasound examination,if necessary, hysteroscopy, and rule out endometrial lesions as soon as possible.
