| ObjectionTo analyse the common side effects induced by chemotherapy drugs on the skin,to understand its pathogensis,clinical manifestations and treatment methods,which could reduce the patient's pain in the chemotherapy process,and improve the quality of life of patients.MethodsRetrospective analysis and the related literatures review were made through the clinical data of 1 patient with skin lesions caused by chemotherapeutic drugs.The pathogenesis,treatment and prognosis were analyzed.The common skin side effects caused by chemotherapeutic drugs reported in the literature were summarized at the same time.ResultA 72-year-old woman who was diagnosed with an invasive ductal carcinoma of the right breast underwent a modified radical mastectomy in April 2015,followed by chemotherapy with capecitabine and nanoparticle albu-minbound paclitaxe.Subsequently,the patient experienced palmoplantar redness,pain,onycholysis,a transparent serous exudate,and onychomadesis.Diagnosis: capecitabine induced Hand-foot syndrome(HFS)and onychomadesis.The chemotherapy was discontinued,and the patient was treated with oral vitamin B6,a polymyxin ointment,and a high energy red light.The condition improved obviously.ConclusionsA variety of malignant tumors is still one of the first cause for the death of Chinese residents.And the morbidity and mortality of malignant tumors are increasing at present.Systemic chemotherapy is the main treatment means for the cancer patients in many instances.Many chemotherapeutic drugs cause severe skin damage,which often reduces the confidence of patients in chemotherapy,even leads to the reduction and interruption of drug treatment.This will affect the efficacy of chemotherapy.It is very important to understand and intervene the skin side effects caused by chemotherapy,because it can improve the compliance of chemotherapy and the quality of life of patients. |
