| Objective Beifuxin(Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel)and Yifu(Recombinant Human Epidermal Growth Factor Gel)are two commonly used drugs in the clinic to promote wound healing.In this experiment,we aim to compare the effectiveness of the drugs in promoting wound healing and reducing scar,and provide reference for clinic.Methods Forty-eight inpatients in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in our hospital from January 2019 to December 2019 were divided into two groups: Beifuxin group(n = 24)and Yifu group(n = 24).We used "stony brook scar evaluation scale"(SBSES)to evaluate the operative wound on the 7th day after surgery.A total score was ranging from 0(worst)to 5(best).And we use "patient and observer scar assessment scale "(PAOSAS)to assess the scar after 3 months.Score was range from 7(best)to 70(worst).The scale was divided into "patient scar Assessment scale"(PSAS)and "Observer scar Assessment scale"(OSAS).We compared the total score of each scale and the differences between the two groups in different ages,genders and surgical areas.The test methods were χ 2 test,unmatched t test and Mann-Whitney U test.When the P value is less than 0.05,the difference is statistically significant.Results1.The results of SBSES score: In aspect of different ages,the percentage of the patient scored 3 to 5 points in Yifu group age from 16 to 25,26 to 35,36 to 45,46 to 55,56 to65,66 to 75 was 100%,50%,63%,80%,60%,50%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 3 to 5 points in Beifuxin group age from 16 to 25,26 to 35,36 to 45,46 to 55,56 to 65,66 to 75 was 60%,33%,20%,100%,80%,100%,respectively.In aspect of different surgical areas,the percentage of the patient scored 3 to 5 points in Yifu group surgery in neck,parotid and others was 62%,66%,100%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 3 to 5 points in Beifuxin group surgery in neck,parotid and others was 36%,100%,50%,respectively.In aspect of different genders,the percentage of the patient scored 3 to 5 points in Yifu group of male and female was60%,78%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 3 to 5 points in Beifuxin group of male and female was 72%,60%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the average of total score between Bei Fuxin group and Yifu group(P>0.05).2.The results of PSAS score: In aspect of different ages,the percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Yifu group age from 16 to 25,26 to 35,36 to 45,46 to 55,56 to 65,66 to 75 was 100%,100%,100%,100%,100%,100%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Beifuxin group age from 16 to 25,26 to 35,36 to 45,46 to 55,56 to 65,66 to 75 was 80%,67%,100%,100%,100%,50%,respectively.In aspect of different surgical areas,the percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Yifu group surgery in neck,parotid and others was 100%,100%,100%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Beifuxin group surgery in neck,parotid and others was 91%,91%,50%,respectively.In aspect of different genders,the percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Yifu group of male and female was 100%,100%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 7to 16 points in Beifuxin group of male and female was 93%,80%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the average of total score between Bei Fuxin group and Yifu group(P>0.05).3.The results of OSAS score: In aspect of different ages,the percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Yifu group age from 16 to 25,26 to 35,36 to 45,46 to 55,56 to 65,66 to 75 was 100%,0%,25%,20%,20%,0%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Beifuxin group age from 16 to 25,26 to 35,36 to45,46 to 55,56 to 65,66 to 75 was 40%,67%,40%,100%,100%,0%,respectively.In aspect of different surgical areas,the percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Yifu group surgery in neck,parotid and others was 16%,22%,100%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Beifuxin group surgery in neck,parotid and others was 36%,82%,100%,respectively.In aspect of different genders,the percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Yifu group of male and female was7%,56%,respectively.The percentage of the patient scored 7 to 16 points in Beifuxin group of male and female was 64%,60%,respectively.There was significant difference in the average of total score between Bei Fuxin group and Yifu group(P<0.05).It suggested that the effect of Bei Fu Xin has a significant advantage in the evaluation of the observer.Conclusion1.In this study,the results of patient assessment scale showed that both Beifuxin and Yifu are efficient in promoting incision healing and reducing scar,while the results of observer assessment scale showed that the evaluation of Beifuxin was significantly better than that of Yifu.2.In the observer of oral and maxillofacial surgery in our hospital assessment,the clinical effect of Bei Fu Xin is better than that of Yifu,and the results can be used as a reference for clinicians.The effects of the two gels in other incisions need to be further observed and studied. |
