Objective:The purpose of this study was to use evidence-based practice to construct evidence-based nursing practice programs for chemotherapy-induced constipation in cancer patients,to promote the correct implementation of nursing measures for chemotherapy-induced constipation, and to evaluate the effect of evidence-based nursing practice for chemotherapy-induced constipation in cancer patients,so as to reduce the incidence of chemotherapy-induced constipation. Methods:the clinical evidence application model of JBI evidence-based health care center was applied, which was divided into three steps:baseline review before evidence application, practice change and effect evaluation. This project included 93 and 89 patients before and after evidence application, and 16 nurses(nurse staff did not change before and after evidence application).Comparing the knowledge of nurses based on evidence-based chemotherapy induced constipation before and after the application of evidence, the dependence on evidence, the incidence of chemotherapy-induced constipation in cancer patients and the severity of constipation. Before the baseline review, major literature data and evidence-based nursing resource websites at home and abroad were searched according to the PIPOST framework. Then, the found evidence was included after the quality evaluation, and the included evidence was customized according to the FAME attribute principle to form the quality review index.Results:(1)Domestic and foreign literature databases and major evidence-based nursing resource websites were searched, and after literature quality evaluation, evidence FAME attribute evaluation was conducted.Finally,17 pieces of evidence were obtained and converted into 19 pieces of quality review indicators.(2)After the application of evidence, the qualified rate of nurses' knowledge was increased from 6.25%to 100%,and the average score of nurses' knowledge questionnaire was increased from 45.75 ± 11.14 to 86.63 ± 10.03(P<0.05).(3)The incidence of chemotherapy-induced constipation was 69.89%(n=93)and decreased to 37.08%(n=89),with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The severity of constipation was reduced from 49.23%(n=65)in grade 2 to 54.55%(n=33)in grade 1,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).(4)After the application of evidence, the nurses' compliance with the 19 indicators was significantly increased from 0%?45.66%to 65.45%?100%after the application of evidence.Conclusion:Evidence-based practice can improve nurses' mastery of relevant knowledge, improve nurses' compliance with evidence, improve the quality of care for cancer patients with chemotherapy-induced constipation, and reduce the incidence and severity of chemotherapy-induced constipation.
