Purposes To investigate the recent effect of budesonide inhalation on bone mineral density?BMD?in preterm infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia?BPD?,in order to provide reference for clinical application. Methods Preterm infants with gestational age?32 weeks and birth day age?1 week admitted to Chenzhou Hospital of University of South China from January 2017 to July 2019 were collected. All the subjects were divided into two groups according to the gestational age:24+128weeks group and 28+132 weeks group;all the subjects were divided into BPD group and non BPD group according to the diagnosis of BPD;BPD group was divided into two groups according to the use of budesonide inhalation treatment:atomized group and non atomized group;the atomized group was divided into two groups according to the length of atomization time?referred to"time length"?:<2 weeks group and?2weeks group. All the subjects measured the ultrasound BMD of the heel at 1 week and 4 weeks after birth, which were recorded as BMD1 and BMD4 respectively;in BPD group, the ultrasound BMD of the heel was measured again at 8 and 12 weeks after birth, which were recorded as BMD8 and BMD12 respectively. The difference of BMD between different gestational age group at different time points after birth, the atomized group and the non atomizied group, the different atomization time length in the BPD group were compared.Statistical analysis of the recent effect of budesonide inhalation treatment on BMD in preterm infants with BPD.Results1.BMD1 of 28+132 weeks group was higher than that of24+128 weeks group, there was statistical difference?P<0.05?.2.Compared the BMD1 of different gestational age groups between BPD and non-BPD,there were no statistical differences?P>0.05?.3.Compared the BMD1 of different gestational age groups between atomized group and the non atomized group, there were no statistical differences?P>0.05?.4.Compared the BMD at different time points between the atomized group and the non atomized group in the 24+128 weeks group:BMD12was higher than BMD8,BMD4,BMD8 was higher than BMD4,there were statistical differences?P<0.05?;there were no statistical differences between the atomized group and the non atomized group at different time points?P>0.05?.5.Compared the BMD at different time points between the atomized group and the non atomized group in the 28+132 weeks group:BMD12was higher than BMD8,BMD4,BMD8 was higher than BMD4,there were statistical differences?P<0.05?;there were no statistical differences between the atomized group and the non atomized group at different time points?P>0.05?.6.Compared the BMD122 between the inhalation length<2 weeks group and?weeks group of different gestational age groups, there were no statistical differences?P>0.05?.Conclusions1.This study showed that budesonide inhalation had no recent effect on BMD of preterm infants.2.There is a positive correlation between BMD and gestational age,the older the gestational age is,the higher the BMD is.The BMD increases with the increase of age.
