Clinical Observation Of Rehmannia Cream In The Treatment Of Eczema,Pruritus And Ichthyosis Of Body Fluid Deficiency And Wind Dryness Type

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of self-made Rehmannia cream on dry,desquamation and pruritus of body fluid deficiency and wind dryness type,and to evaluate the effect of Rehmannia cream on skin barrier function.Methods From October 2019 to January 2020,34 patients with eczema,pruritus and ichthyosis of body fluid deficiency and wind dryness type who were admitted to the Department of Dermatology of Wuhan No.1 Hospital were selected to meet the criteria of diagnosis.Using self-control studies,the observation site is the patient's lower legs,the treatment group was treated with topical application of Rehmannia cream.The control group was treated with matrix cream.Apply twice a day.For two weeks,before treatment,the first week of treatment and the second week of treatment,the water content of stratum corneum(WCSC)of bilateral calf was measured and recorded,transepidermal water loss(TEWL)value,itch score,dry degree score.To evaluate dryness score,pruritus score,WCSC and TEWL value before and after treatment.Patients were asked and recorded adverse reactions during treatment and follow-up.Results A total of 28 patients completed the clinical study,including 15 cases of pruritus,8 cases of ichthyosis vulgaris,5 cases of lipophilic eczema.(1)WCSC and TEWL:Comparison in groups,both groups could increase WCSC? decrease TEWL after treatment(p <0.05).Comparison between groups,the treatment group decreased TEWL better than the control group(P<0.05).The TEWL of the two groups decreased at 2 weeks(P>0.05).The improvement WCSC in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).(2)Pruritus score: group comparison,both groups improved pruritus score(P<0.05).Comparison between groups,and the two groups improved itch score equally(P>0.05).(3)Drying indicators: intra-group comparison,both groups improved roughness and dandruff(P<0.05)during the first week of treatment.Improved erythema and cracks were not obvious(P>0.05).Both groups improved roughness,dandruff and erythema(P<0.05).Improved crack was not obvious(P>0.05).Comparison between groups,after the first week of treatment,the treatment group improved the dandruff and roughness than the control group(P<0.05).Improved crack,erythema equivalent(P>0.05).For the second week of treatment,the improvement of roughness was better than that of control group(P<0.05).Improved erythema,cracks,and dander equivalent(P>0.05).(4)Drying degree integral: Compared with the group,the drying degree integral of the two groups decreased significantly(P<0.05).Between groups,the treatment group improved the score of skin dryness than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Rehmannia cream can improve skin dryness,improve WCSC,reduce TEWL and relieve itching symptoms.It is effective to repair skin barrier function by increasing skin water content and relieve symptoms of dry lipophilic eczema,pruritus and ichthyosis vulgaris of eczema,pruritus and ichthyosis of body fluid deficiency and wind dryness type.No adverse reactions occurred during the medication,suggesting that the drug is safe and reliable and worthy of further clinical study.
