Research On The Protection Of Traditional Knowledge Geographical Indication Products Of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:To study and explore the existing problems in relevant laws and regulations on the protection of geographical indication of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),analyz e the relevant issues on the protection of geographical indication products of TCM in China,discuss the feasible strategies and implementation paths in the future development,and pro vide the corresponding data,materials and suggestions for the formulation of relevant syste ms through sorting and comparing the overall situation in China.Methods: Firstly,this paper applies the method of document analysis to search,screen,analyze and arrange relevant documents,making analysis on the overall situations of developing TCM geographical indication products;Secondly,through investigation and data collation,the effective information collected is systematically analyzed and statistically analyzed to summarize the measures and implementation effects of the protection of geographical indication products of TCM in China,and analyze the existing problems;Finally,the expert consultation method is used to consult the opinions and suggestions of relevant experts on the protection of geographical indication products of traditional Chinese medicine,form a systematic idea and summarize them,and then put forward the implementation path of the protection and development of geographical indication products in accordance with traditional knowledge of TCM.Results: At present,there are three methods to carry out the protection on the geographical indication products of TCM.However,the emphases of the three mechanisms on managing the geographical indications are quite different.By survey and analysis,it is observed that there are many problems in protecting TCM geographical indication products,such as incongruity of relevant laws and regulations,unsound protection systems,lacking relevant certification standards,declaration departments being not unified,insufficient attention paid to genuine medicinal materials,and publication not in place and so on.As for the existing phenomena and problems and according to the current development status of TCM geographical indication products in China,reasonable and feasible developmentsuggestions and development strategies are put forward.Conclusion: At the present stage,there are some problems in the protection of geographical indications of TCM in China,such as short research time,unsound laws and regulations,and few research objects directly regarding the inheritance of TCM culture and geographical indications.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the right of geographical indications and the integration of TCM.Therefore,we need to further strengthen the protection and research on the geographical indications of TCM knowledge,so as to contribute to the "inheritance,development and utilization" of TCM.
