ObjectiveTo understand the current situation of cognitive function and its influencing factors of the elderly in China,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,so as to provide scientific basis for the early prevention and reasonable intervention of cognitive dysfunction of the elderly,and help the early realization of"healthy aging" of the country.MethodsIn this study,the data of Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS)of 2014 were used.Stata 14.0 software was used to clean up the data and eliminate the missing samples of key information.The Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE)was used to assess the cognitive function of 4643 Chinese aged 60 and above.SPSS21.0 software was used to analyze the data of social demographic characteristics,eating habits,lifestyle and health status of the subjects.Univariate analysis was performed by using the ?2 test,and binary logistic stepwise regression analysis was carried out for the independent variables with statistical significance(P<0.05)in ?2 test.The test level ?=0.05.Results1.Detection rate of cognitive dysfunction in the elderly:in this study,845 elderly people have cognitive dysfunction,and the detection rate of overall cognitive function is 18.2%.2.Results of univariate analysis:age,gender,region,marital status,previous occupation,education level,economic status,fresh fruit,fresh vegetables,meat,fish and other aquatic products,bean products,nuts,fungi and algae,tea,smoking,alcohol,doing exercise,doing housework,reading books and newspapers,watching TV or listening to radio,playing cards or mahjong,participating in social activity,stroke and cerebrovascular disease,diabetes,heart disease,ability of daily activities,sleep quality,self-rated health status,had an effect on the cognitive function of the elderly(P<0.05).3.Results of multivariate logistic regression analysis:age,gender,marital status,education level,economic status,fresh fruits,fresh vegetables,exercising,doing housework,watching TV or listening to radio,playing cards or mahjong,participating in social activities,stroke and cerebrovascular disease,heart disease,ability of daily activities,self-rated health status had an effect on the cognitive function of the elderly(P<0.05).Conclusion1.The high prevalence of cognitive dysfunction among the elderly in China has become one of the important factors that endanger the health of the elderly,which should be paid great attention by the government,society and individuals2.The cognitive function of the elderly in China is affected by several factors,among which the age,famale,mateless situation,residents with lower level of education,poor economic situation,stroke or cerebrovascular disease,heart disease,limited ability of daily activities and poor self-rated health status are the risk factors of the cognitive function of the elderly;fresh fruits,fresh vegetables,doing exercise,doing housework,watching TV or listening to the radio,playing cards or mahjong,participating in social activities are protective factors for cognitive function in the elderly.
