Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Tengliao of traditional Chinese medicine on early swelling resolution and elbow joint function in children with non-surgical treatment of supracondylar humeral fractures. Methods: 67 children with Gartland classification of type ? and type ? supracondylar humeral fractures were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group. The control group was treated with conventional manipulative reduction and external fixation. The treatment group was treated with conventional manipulative reduction and external fixation.Together with Tengliao of traditional Chinese medicine on the second day after reduction, the treatment course was 2 weeks.Observe the trend of swelling 1 week and 2 weeks after reduction, and take 3 weeks after reduction as the end point of observation.Compare the incidence of complications and early differences in elbow function between the two groups. Results : In addition to 7 patients falling out,60 patients were finally followed up,30 in the control group and 30 in the treatment group. The difference between swelling subsided in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group at1 week after operation(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance between the two groups at 2 weeks after operation(P>0.05).The incidence of complications from the treatment group was lower than that in the control group, and there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference in Mayo elbow function score of the two groups was statistically significant at 3 weeks postoperatively(P<0.05).Conclusion : Early application of Tengliao of traditional Chinese medicine in thetreatment of humeral supracondylar fractures in children can effectively eliminate swelling, reduce the occurrence of complications, and improve the early elbow function after the fixation.Safe,effective,non-invasive and other advantages are worthy of clinical application.
