Analysis Of Risk Factors Related To Iron-deficiency Anemia In Hiatal Hernia

Objective:To investigate the incidence of iron deficiency anemia in patients with hiatal hernia and its related risk factors,and to provide a theoretical reference method for the clinical prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia caused by hiatal hernia methods:retrospective analysis from January 2008 to 2018 June The clinical data of 452patients with hiatal hernia who were hospitalized and treated in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Hospital were analyzed by univariate analysis of related clinical factors and multivariate logistic regression analysis of statistically significant variables.Results:There were 79 cases(17.47%)of iron deficiency anemia in 452patients with hiatal hernia,including 65 cases of mild anemia,12 cases of moderate anemia,and 2 cases of severe or higher anemia.Analysis of related factors found that the age was60 to 75 years(?~2=36.288,P<0.001),male(?~2=8.957,P=0.003),height(?~2=3.552,P=0.001),weight(?~2=3.728,P<0.001),BMI(?~2=2.305,P=0.024),GERD-Q?8(?~2=12.276,P<0.001),massive hiatal hernia(?~2=40.023,P<0.001)these factors are related to the occurrence of iron deficiency anemia,and the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05).Iron deficiency anemia was used as the independent variable to screen the single-factor significant variables one by one(P<0.05),which was included in the logistic regression multivariate analysis and found that the age was 60 to 75 years(OR=0.326,95%CI:0.188~0.566,P<0.001),massive hiatal hernia(OR=0.117,95%CI:0.044~0.307,P<0.001)is a risk factor of iron deficiency anemia.Conclusion:The occurrence of iron deficiency anemia in patients with esophageal hiatal hernia is related to age(60-75 years)and massive hiatal hernia.For elderly patients with giant esophageal hiatal hernia,surgery should be taken to reduce the incidence of iron deficiency anemia.
