Objective:To explore the acquisition process of cornea from Donation After Cardiac Death(DCD)in Xinjiang and the clinical efficacy and problems of corneal transplantation.Method:In a retrospective study, this article summarizes the general information of 54 DCD donors, collects clinical data from 33 patients undergoing DCD corneal transplantation, and observes clinical outcomes.31 patients underwent monocular keratoplasty and 2 patients underwent binocular keratoplasty.A total of 35 cases.Of the35 cases,12 were femtosecond-assisted corneal transplants and 23 were conventional corneal transplants.Observed postoperative visual acuity changes, corneal graft transparency, corneal endothelium count and immune rejection. Results:All DCD donors' families agreed to donate the cornea.Except for corneal ulcers,a total of 60 eyes were obtained for surgery.1 case had intraoperative complications, and 9 patients had postoperative complications.Among them,7 patients had rejection,1 had secondary glaucoma, and 1 had suture relaxation. At the last follow-up,corneal grafts were clear in32 eyes(91.4%),and vision in 23 eyes(65.7%)was improved to varying degrees. Conclusion:DCD corneas is an important source of corneal donors in China. It is necessary to continuously improve relevant systems and procedures to benefit more patients with corneal blindness.
