Objective: Through perioperative laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer(Dixon operation),a comparative study of accelerated rehabilitation surgery((enhanced recovery after surgery,ERAS))and traditional surgical methods was conducted to explore the safety and efficacy of ERAS in postoperative patients with rectal cancer. Methods: a total of 105 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer(Dixon)in the Department of Gastrointestinal surgery, affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 1,2016 to December 31,2018 were selected.According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, the patients were divided into two groups:ERAS group(accelerated rehabilitation surgery concept treatment group,n = 52)and control group(traditional surgical concept treatment group,n = 53).The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, total hospital stay, hospitalization expenses,complications,C-protein(CRP),white blood cell count(WBC),albumin and the number of lymph node dissection were recorded and analyzed between the two groups. Results: there was no significant difference in the operation time and intraoperative blood loss between the ERAS group and the control group, the first anal exsufflation time was(2.9 ±0.5)d,which was shorter than that of the control group(3.1±0.6)d,and the postoperative hospital stay was(12.9 ±3.1)d,which was significantly shorter than that of the control group(15.6 ± 4.9)d,respectively.The total hospitalization time of the two groups was(22.8 ± 4.2)days and(26.5 ± 4.9)days,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(the hospitalization cost of the);ERAS group was(6.1 ± 8.5)million yuan, which was lower than that of the control group(6.7 ±9.2)million yuan. The incidence of postoperative complications in the two groups was 9.61%(40.52),16.98%(9.98)and 0.46,respectively.The white blood cellcount,C-RP and albumin levels in the ERAS group were significantly higher than those in the control group on the 1st and 3rd day after operation(P < 0.05),and the number of lymph node dissection in the two groups was 0.533,which was not statistically significant. Conclusion: ERAS can reduce the postoperative stress trauma reaction, shorten the postoperative hospital stay, and reduce the medical burden. It is safe, reliable, effective and feasible in perioperative period of rectal cancer without increasing postoperative complications.
