| Objective: To observe the expression of Nrf2 protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent tissues, and explore its clinical significance. Methods: Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of Nrf2 in 120 normal esophageal mucosa and 120 adjacent tissues.Based on this analysis, the expression of Nrf2 in esophageal cancer and its relationship with postoperative prognosis were analyzed. Results: The positive rate of Nrf2 in normal esophageal cancer tissue was about 37%,and the expression rate of cancer tissue was 55%,which was significantly lower than that of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.05).The survival time of Nrf2 positive group with adjuvant chemotherapy was higher than that without postoperative adjuvant therapy, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to Log-Rangk single factor test determine that Nrf2 expression, local lymph node metastasis,TNM staging, and postoperative adjuvant therapy all affected the prognosis of patients.Factors that affected the prognosis were included in the Cox multivariate analysis.TNM staging,Nrf2 protein expression and postoperative Adjuvant therapy is an independent predictor of OS(P<0.05).Conclusion: Nrf2 expression may be an important biomarker to reflect the occurrence, development and biological behavior of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Nrf2 protein positive can be used as an indicator of adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and Nrf2 protein is a potential prognostic indicator of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. |
