Objective To observe the effect and safety of intermittent epidural bolus without background infusion in combination with patient-control epidural analgesia in transurethral resection of prostate. Methods Patients after transurethral resection of prostate were randomly divided into2 groups, test group(Group A,30 patients)and control group(Group B,30patients).Both groups were given combined spinal-epidural anaesthesia intraoperatively. The analgesia mode of Group A was intermittent epidural bolus without background infusion in combination with patient-control epidural analgesia, and Group B was continuous infusion with patient-control epidural analgesia. The outcome measures were drug dosage, visual analogue scores,Ramsay scores, improved Bromage scores, adverse reactions, and satisfaction of patients in in 24 hours. Results The drug dosage of Group A was(95.20±22.17)ml,and Group B was(195.20±7.46)ml;they were statistically significant(P<0.05).The improved Bromage scores of Group A in postoperative 6h was lower than that in Group B(P<0.05).The other results were not statistically significant. Conclusion In the postoperative analgesia of transurethral resection of prostate, intermittent epidural bolus without background infusion in combination with patient-control epidural analgesia could decrease the drug dosage without the decline of analgesia, and accelerate the recovery of motor nerves. It was an adoptable mode of postoperative epidural analgesia to accelerate patients' recovery. |
