| Objective: To compare the clinical pregnancy rates and other pregnancy outcomes among women who underwent hysterosalpingography(HSG)with those among women who underwent hystero-salpingo-contrast-sonography(Hy Co Sy).Methods:It is a retrospective comparative study,which aims to test whether hystero-salpingo-contrast-sonography(Hy Co Sy)could enhance the chance of spontaneous clinical pregnancy in women undergoing subfertility investigation,this is compared with hysterosalpingography(HSG).We included subfertile women between September 2017 and July 2018.Patients who underwent Hy Co Sy at the reproductive center of Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University were selected as the Hy Co Sy group(n=117).Patients who underwent hysterosalpingography were selected as the HSG group(n=112).The clinical pregnancy rate,early abortion rate,ectopic pregnancy rate,multiple pregnancy rate and median duration of pregnancy within 6 months after the operation were analyzed.Results:There were no significant differences basic in clinical data between the two groups(P > 0.05).The clinical pregnancy rates of HSG group and Hy Cosy group were 35.5% and 31.8%,respectively.The early abortion rates were 10.5% and 14.3%,respectively.The ectopic pregnancy rates were 2.8% and 1.81%,respectively.The multiple pregnancy rates were 0.9% and 0,respectively.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The median duration of pregnancy in the Hy Cosy group is shorter than the HSG group(3.06 months vs 3.93 months),and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.02).Conclusion:Two groups have similar clinical outcomes.The interval of pregnancy after Hy Cosy is shorter than that after HSG.Moreover,Hy Cosy can reduce the unnecessary radiation exposure of both patients and operators.Taking its convenience and its cost effectiveness into account,Hy Cosy can be used as a first-line screening means to evaluate the tubal patency in subfertile women. |
