Objective:Prenatal ultrasound was used to scan the fetal pancreas.Two-dimensional ultrasound was used to measure pancreatic datas. If necessary, combined with three-dimensional ultrasound to evaluate the structural characteristics, developmental status and changes of gestational age of the pancreas more comprehensively and accurately.Evaluate the ultrasound feasibility of measuring fetal pancreas and its normal development throughout pregnancy. Methods:The images of fetal pancreas from single-fetal non-diabetic pregnant women who underwent prenatal ultrasound examinations during the prenatal ultrasound examination from January 2018 to January 2019 in the Department of Ultrasound,China Medical University, were analyzed and followed up.Using GE's VolusonE8 and E10 ultrasound systems, the two-dimensional probe frequency is1.6~4.5MHz,and the three-dimensional volume probe frequency is 4~8MHz.All of them are set to the obstetric ultrasound program, and the fetal system development and accessory conditions are carefully observed. When scanning the upper abdomen of the fetus, after displaying the standard abdominal circumference section, the probe is slightly tilted toward the fetal tail to clearly show the intact pancreas of the fetus. At this time, the anterior lateral aspect of the pancreas is a hypoechoic gastric vesicle, providing effective acoustic contrast. In the gap where fetal movement stops or decreases, avoiding fetal limbs and umbilical cord interference, pregnant women hold their breath, and the image is captured at the maximum plane of the fetal pancreas. The pancreas circumference and pancreas head, pancreaas body, and pancreas tail were measured and recorded.Color blood flow imaging was used to observe the location of Ph,Pb,and Pt corresponding to the abdominal cavity and labeling.Observe the relationship between PC and GA or AC.Result:Prenatal ultrasound performed a fetal pancreas scan on 425 single-fetal non-diabetic pregnant women aged 14-38 weeks, showing 265 cases of fetal intact pancreas. The overall satisfactory display rate was 62.35%(265/425).265 fetal pancreas were measured for circumference.Correlation analysis showed that PC was positively correlated with GA(R~2=0.670,P<0.01),and PC was positively correlated with AC(R~2=0.659,P<0.01).The normal reference range of fetal pancreatic circumference at 18-34 weeks of gestation is given.During this study,1 cases of annular pancreas and 1 case of pancreatic edema were founded. Conclusion:In this study,we assessed the feasibility of sonography for measuring the fetal pancreas and established a normal reference range for the fetal PC throughout pregnancy. This reference may provide some basis for investigating fetal and fetal disease that may involve its normal development.
