Research On Improving Profitability Of A Medical Laboratory

A Medical laboratory provides different inspection services for hospitals,clinics,community hospitals and any other medical institutions.It does not receive and treat patients,but mainly provides clinical needs and pathological tests.the government has vigorously promoted legislation and supported relevant private capital to effectively supplement it after the reform of the pharmaceutical industry.through gradual contacts and cooperation between medical institutions and the third-party medical laboratory institutions,the third-party medical laboratory institutions have appeared of different scales.Therefore,The operation direction of the strong third-party medical laboratory institutions is market expansion and merger of smaller third-party medical laboratory to have a better development.We need to have a depth thinking about how to develop A medical laboratory under the intense comprehensive environment of the future.The most important thing is how to improve the profitability of A medical laboratory to ensure that it can survive.Firstly,this paper analyzed the profitability,financial analysis,and DuPont analysis system,which laid a theoretical foundation for the full study and explained the background of the indicators and analysis modelproposed for the uniqueness of A medical laboratory.Secondly,this paper takes A medical laboratory as the research object,lists the financial data of the past three years.First,we analyze a single profit index to know the trend and stability of the profitability of A medical laboratory.Then we use DuPont analysis system to analyze the net interest rate,total asset turnover rate and equity multiplier of A medical laboratory and compare it with the profit of bench marking institutions in the industry to find out the gap between them.Finally,this paper find out that A medical laboratory has deficiencies in sales performance,accounts receivable,inventory turnover and cost control to the A medical laboratory.We put forward the corresponding countermeasures according to these shortcomings and existing problems,which provided ideas for the management of A medical laboratory to improve the profitability of the company.
