Clinical Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Treating Scapulohumeral Periarthritis In Hand-taiyang Meridian Type With Dense Warm Acupuncture Combined With Massage

Objective:It is to observe the effects of dense warm acupuncture combined with massage on shoulder joint activity,visual analogue score(VAS),and Constant-Murley Score(CMS)of shoulder joint function from patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis in Hand-Taiyang Meridian type by means of a randomized controlled clinical research.Moreover,the clinical curative effect is observed in order to explore the optimal treatment scheme of scapulohumeral periarthritis in Hand-Taiyang Meridian type and to provide a new mentality for the clinical meridian-differentiation treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis.Methods:From December,2016 to December,2018,60 patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis in Hand-Taiyang Meridian type treated in the rehabilitation department of Nanping people's Hospital(out-patients or in-patients)were collected,who were randomly divided into two groups according to the random number table(30 cases for each group).The treatment group was treated with dense warm acupuncture combined with massage,while the control group was treated with routine acupoint warm acupuncture and massage.A total of 2 courses of treatment were given.The data,including shoulder joint activity,visual analogue score(VAS),and Constant-Murley Score(CMS)of shoulder joint function was recorded before and after treatment,which was counted by SPSS18.0 version.Results:1.After the treatments,the patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis in two groups were conducted an intra-group comparison.It was found that there were statistically significant differences in VAS score,shoulder joint activity score,and Constant-Murley score of shoulder joint function in comparison with those of pre-treatment respectively(P<0.01).2.After the treatments,the patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis in two groups were conducted a group-to-group comparison.It was found that the VAS score in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group,which was statistically significant(P<0.01).The increasing degree of shoulder joint activity as well as the Constant-Murley score of shoulder joint function in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Totally,there were 60 cases in the two groups,including 35 patients in left shoulder joint as well as 25 patients in right shoulder joint.At the end of two courses of treatment,19 cases were cured,9 cases were markedly effective,1 case was effective,1 case was ineffective,the cure rate was 63.33%,the apparent cured rate was 93.33% and the total effective rate was 96.67%.In the control group,12 cases were cured,9 cases were markedly effective,6 cases were effective,3 cases were ineffective,the cure rate was 40.00%,the apparent cured rate was 70.00%,and the total effective rate was 90.00%.For the two groups,after the end of two-course treatments,the overall therapeutic effect was significantly different(P<0.05);the apparent cured rate was significantly different(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the total effective rate(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.To treat scapulohumeral periarthritis in Hand-Taiyang Meridian type,both the treatment method of dense warm acupuncture combined with massage and the treatment method of routine acupoint warm acupuncture combined with massage are effective.However,the curative effect,the cure rate,and the apparent cured rate of dense warm acupuncture combined with massage are obviously better than those of the control group.2.Applying dense warm acupuncture combined with massage to treat scapulohumeral periarthritis in Hand-Taiyang Meridian type can reduce Visual Analogue Score(VAS),improve shoulder joint activity,and increase Constant-Murley score of shoulder joint function.Among those,in the treatment of pain,the effect of this method is remarkable.3.The treatment of dense warm acupuncture combined with massage owns obvious effects in the symptoms,pain,joint activity,and shoulder joint function for patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis in Hand-Taiyang Meridian type,which are worthy of clinical popularization.
