ObjectiveEffect of acupoint embedding combined with motor relearning on upper extremity function after stroke based on somatosensory evoked potential.MethodsIn this study,90 patients with upper limb motor dysfunction after stroke were participated. They were randomly divided into three groups: motor relearning group, acupuncture combined with motor relearning group, acupoint catgut embedding combined with motor relearning group,30 cases in each group. All subjects received regular drugs and regular rehabilitation training. And motor relearning group was accepted MRP therapy, acupuncture combined with MRP group was accepted acupuncture and MRP therapy, acupoint catgut embedding combined with MRP group subjects received acupoint catgut embedding therapy while receiving the same treatment as MRP group subjects. The Fugl-Meyer Upper Limb Function Rating Scale(FMA)and the Modified Bathel Index(MBI)were used to evaluate the improvement of upper limb motor function and daily living ability of the three groups before and after treatment for 4 weeks. In the meantime, the change in the latency and amplitude of the somatosensory evoked potential N20 of the subject was detected.Statistical analysis of the data was performed using SPSS 21.0.The measurement data is expressed by the mean plus or minus standard deviation(x ąs),One-way analysis of variance using multiple factors(ANOVA),Pairwise comparison using the Boferroni method. The paired t-test was used for comparison within the group, and the test was used for comparison between the classified and count data groups.Correlation analysis was performed using Spearman in a bivariate analysis; The test standard P < 0.05 was statistically significant.Results1.After 4 weeks of treatment, the FMA,MBI scores, and SEP N20 latency and amplitude of the three groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).2.Acupoint catgut embedding combined with MRP group was significantly improved in FMA and MBI scores compared with MRP group(P<0.01),compared with acupuncturecombined with MRP group(P<0.05),it is suggested that the acupoint catgut embedding combined with MRP programme can effectively improve the upper limb motor dysfunction and improve the daily living ability of stroke patients compared with the other two methods. However, the MRP group and the acupuncture combined MRP group were compared on the FMA and MBI scores, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Acupoint catgut embedding combined with MRP group significantly improved the latency and amplitude of SEP N20 compared with MRP group(P<0.01),compared with acupuncture combined with MRP group(P < 0.05),it is suggested that the acupoint embedding combined with MRP group can enhance the brain plasticity of stroke patients compared with other groups(P<0.01);the latency and amplitude of SEP N20 in acupuncture combined with MRP group and MRP group were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion1.Acupoint catgut embedding combined with MRP programme can effectively improve the upper limb motor function and improve the daily living ability of stroke patients.2.Acupoint catgut embedding combined with MRP programme is more likely to change the latency and amplitude of SEP N20,and more effectively enhance the brain plasticity of stroke patients.
