ObjectiveTo analyze the relationship between re-fracture after vertebral osteoporosis fracture(OVCF)and postoperative bed rest.MethodsThe OVCF patients admitted to the Spinal Hospital of Xi'an HongHui Hospital from January 2014 to January 2017 were selected and treated with vertebroplasty in HongHui hospital.200 patients were discharged after surgery.According to whether they were fractured within 1 year after surgery. For the non-fracture group(n=150 cases)and the re-fracture group(n=50 cases),the post-discharge bedtimes of the two groups were recorded by follow-up.50 patients with non-OVCF were randomly selected during the same period to detect the vertebral bone mineral density of all subjects.Bone turnover index [type I procollagen N-terminal propeptide(P1NP),type I collagen carboxy terminal peptide ?specific sequence(?-CTX)],analysis of the relationship between bed rest time and re-fracture.ResultsThe ?-CTX value of patients with OVCF was significantly higher than that of non-OVCF patients. The bone mineral density and P1 NP of vertebral body were significantly lower than those of non-OVCF patients(P<0.05).The bed rest time and ?-CTX in the re-fracture group were significantly higher than that in the non-OVCF group. In the fracture group and the re-fracture group, the P1 NP and vertebral bone mineral density were significantly lower than those in the non-fracture group(P<0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis showed that the postoperative bed time and P1 NP and vertebral bone density were observed.Negative correlation was positively correlated with ?-CTX(P<0.05).ConclusionsThe bed rest time after OVCF vertebroplasty is related to the occurrence of re-fracture.Long bed time may cause bone turnover disorder and lead to decreased bone density, which may cause re-fracture.
