Objective:To understand the situation of diagnosis and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder and explore the related factors affecting early diagnosis of children with autism spectrum disorder,so as to provide reference for early diagnosis and treatment of children with autism spectrum disorder.Methods: The parents whose children diagnosed with ASD in Shenzhen Children's Hospital from January 2017 to November 2018 were investigated by questionnaires.The contents of the questionnaire were as follows: 1)demographic characteristics,such as age,gender,and parents' basic informations,including parents' educational background and working environment;2)The age of early onset abnormal behavior in children with ASD;3)Diagnostic age and intervention age;4)General knowledges of ASD;5)the follow-up to hospitals and training or rehabilitation institutions;6)The main reasons for follow-up,regular physical examination,locations of physical examination,time from family address to training or rehabilitation institutions.Children with ASD were divided into early diagnostic group and non-early diagnostic group when the age of first diagnosis was less than 2 years old and the age of first diagnosis was more than 2 years old and less than 6 years old.Results:1.General informationA total of 182 subjects were collected in this study.There were 65 cases in the early diagnosis group,56 males and 9 females.The average age of first diagnosis was(22 ± 3)months.There were 117 cases in the non-early diagnosis group,105 males and 12 females,The average age of first diagnosis was(36 ± 9)months.2.Early abnormal behavioral manifestations that are easily detected by parentsParents of early diagnosis group and non-early diagnosis group can find some abnormal behavior in ASD children.The detection rate of different abnormal behavior isdifferent between the two groups.3.The situation of diagnostic and intervention age for abnormal behaviorThere were delays in diagnosis and intervention in early diagnosis group and non-early diagnosis group.The age of discovery time of abnormal behavior and intervention in early diagnosis group was earlier than that in non-early diagnosis group.4.Parents' knowledges of ASDThe number of parents in the early diagnosis group who had heard of ASD and thought that the time of onset of ASD before the age of 2 years old was higher than that in the non-early diagnosis group.There were no significant difference between the two groups on whether the onset of ASD was related to parental education,whether ASD was considered to be isolated and whether it was considered to be generalized developmental disorder.The parents of both groups has knew ASD mainly through internet.5.The number of hospitals and rehabilitation institutions of children with ASD to visitThe early diagnosis group and the non-early diagnosis group had the phenomenon of children with ASD having multi-hospital and multi-rehabilitation institution visiting.There was no significant difference between the two groups.6.Influencing Factors on Early DiagnosisUnivariate analysis showed that father's high educational background,early discovery of abnormal behavior,regular physical examination,seeking medical treatment for language barrier,seeking medical treatment for social barrier,parents who think that ASD onset before 2 years old were the good influencing factors of early diagnosis.Conclusion:There are time delays in diagnosis and intervention in children with ASD,and the parents' knowledges of ASD are limited.Highlighting the correct propaganda of ASD on the Internet conducive to improvement of parents' awareness of ASD,and could help parents identify the abnormal behavior of children with ASD early,and so as to achieve early diagnosis and early intervention.Meanwhile,it is also important for community doctors and physiclinicians to enhanceincrease the awareness of early identification and diagnosis on ASD.The government should strengthen the supervision and construction of training or rehabilitation institutions so that children with ASD can findtheir own rehabilitation training institutions.
