Objective:The paper is aiming at studying the clinical symptoms and survival situation of Multiple myeloma?MM?of patients before and after age of 65 in Qinghai Province,to better recognize and understanding the disease. Methods:Data of 110 patients treated in Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University from January,2012 to early March of 2018 were collected and divided it into elderly group?age?65?and non-elderly group?age<65?,according to the diagnosed age,to analyze the clinical features, treatment and survival situation between two groups. Results:The age of onset of 110 patients with MM was 34-82 years old,and the median age was 62 years.Hematology department is their mostly visited, orthopedics department and department of nephropathy are in the second place.male and IgG types of patients take a great proportion both in these two groups. The paper shows statistical difference?P<0.05?between two groups in the aspects of ISS period, occurrence of osteodynia and infection, albumin, indices level of?2-microglobulin,Imaging manifestation.Besides, the number of patients with hypertension in elderly group are more than that in non-elderly group;OS of patients treated with bortezomib involved chemotherapy regimens is higher than those treated with the bortezomib excluded one.Survival analysis showed that?2-microglobulin,LDH,ISS stage, chemotherapy regimen is the prognostic factor affecting MM patients,?2microglobulin,LDH,chemotherapy regimen is an independent risk factor in elderly group;The?2-microglobulin,ISS stage, and chemotherapy regimen were the prognostic factors affecting non-elderly MM patients, and the chemotherapy regimen was an independent risk factor.?P values were less than 0.05?.Conclusion:Compared with the non-elderly group, the first treatment of elderly patients in Qinghai area, the elderly patients were in the middle and late stages, the bone pain was obvious, the bonedestruction site was more and susceptible to infection and malnutrition. The patients in the two groups used the bortezomib regimen to have a longer overall survival than the patients in the two groups.?2 microglobulin,ISS staging, and chemotherapy regimen were all prognostic factors affecting MM patients in both groups. In the elderly group,?2 microglobulin,LDH,and chemotherapy regimens are independent risk factors.Chemotherapy regimen in non-elderly patients is independent risk factors.
