Objective:To evaluate the application value of navigation-assisted combined with MRS in searching hypermetabolic areas of glioma, precise intraoperative localization, total resection of glioma, and planning the therapeutic range of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Methods:The patients with glioma were collected for this study. All the patients underwent MRS and other related examinations before operation. We introduced the MRI into the neuronavigation system.During the operation,we use the navigation probe to detect the region of interest. The senior neurosurgeons focused on resecting the tumors, and taking samples for examination. Then we summarize the data of MRS and post-operative specimens. Results:We have completed 51 cases of glioma resection.According to the pathological classification of WHO,there were 9 cases of WHO I,16 cases of WHO II,11 cases of WHO III and 15 cases of WHO IV.After the operation, all patients completed the resection of the tumors as far as possible under the premise of ensuring normal function, and all patients recovered well after the operation.Conclusion:1.~1H-MRS can effectively reflect the hypermetabolic areas of glioma.2.The combination of neuronavigation system and MRS has a positive significance for accurately locating the hypermetabolic areas during operation, which is conducive to the accurate formulation of the scope of surgery, maximize the removal of tumor tissue, and guide the scope of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, effectively improve the quality of life.
